Metodología para el cálculo de drenajes transversales tipo alcantarilla en proyectos viales
(2019) Oyola Estrada, Erwin Javier; Mogrovejo Carrasco, Daniel Estuardo
The main objective of this Research was the proposal of a comprehensive methodology to estimate transverse drainages for roads at the consultancy stage, by using freely available software such as: Google Earth, Global Mapper, and Hydraflow Express, along with national weather databases manage by INAMHI. Working with the results from these software’s, and correlating them accordingly in order to obtain flow, and type of transverse drainage. This method will be very useful for road projects, which in their pre-feasibility stage, do not have hydrometeorological information of the site, a practical and suitable method to be used in these temporary conditions with the necessary validity and sufficient approximation was proposed. The proposed methodology includes direct field observations, and measurements for runoff data, in order to obtain minimum flow; the actual hydraulic modeling; and the validation of the results for the chosen transverse drainage type. Valid correlations, in terms of transverse drainage dimensions, and geometry were found for a significant number of case studies; therefore conclusions were drawn stating that the proposed methodology is valid to determine the correct transverse drainage type for this season, were weather databases are limited.
