In its Strategic Plan, the Cooperative “Juventud Ecuatoriana Progresista” Ltda., has stated as one of its goals to improve its profits; taking this point as the precedent, it is necessary to review how it affects the Cooperative to provide its services to its members in all agencies from Monday to Friday and even on weekends where there is little influx of customers until 18h00; for instance, in this research in the first place it has been determined the customer service costs, the transactional levels and the performance indicator which constitute the data through which an accurate decision can be made. Based on the data mentioned previously, there have been specified two proposals for improving, these proposals contemplate changing the opening hours in the operating areas, which provide services on weekends. These changes will contribute to reduce the costs involved in customer service and determine the new amounts of profits that could be obtained through the changes implemented.
