    Uso de indicadores clínicos para el diagnóstico diferencial entre maltrato y accidentes en niños, niñas y adolescentes hasta los 15 años que acuden a emergencia del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, 2011

    OBJECTIVE: Differential diagnosis between physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect of accidental injuries in children and adolescents up to 15 years attending the pediatric emergency service Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital. METHODS AND MATERIALS: Quantitative study, prospective, transversal and descriptive. They use a form and personal interview with the coach, and patients who arrived at hospital emergency service Vicente Corral Moscoso, and a complete physical examination and emphasizing areas where they were physical injuries. RESULTS: The total samplefor this research wasconsideredof 826cases.At school ageaccidental injuryoccurredin46.97and those related tosome form of abusewere at6.24%, occurring mostly inmales, witha 6.17%. Amongthe risk factorswith the highest incidencefor the presence offorms of abuseare:unplannedpregnancywith47.1%, age of father inmore than 31years with a4.11%, the problems betweenthe couple with a6.90% and alcoholwith7.62%. Importantly,poor performanceis not apredominantrisk factorforabuseonlyoccurred in27.1%, mostinjurieswere related toforms of abusewere theskinwith a2.30% oftotalgenitalbruisinglevelandanallesions aresuggestiveof abusewith a0.36% late-stagelesions inmore than 10 daysrepresent a0.73%which representsan important valueif you look atthe pictureor graphic.
