    Violencia de género en la etapa del noviazgo en estudiantes de la carrera de enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca. 2022

    Background: Violence disguised as love is almost invisible. It is a phenomenon that does not distinguish age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, place of residence. It constitutes a serious violation of human rights and a public health problem. Objective: to identify gender violence in the dating stage in students of the Nursing Career at the University of Cuenca. Methods: quantitative descriptive study, in which we worked with a universe of 630 students and a sample of 235 students enrolled in the Nursing Career according to the Pita Fernández formula. Data collection was performed with the dating violence assessment instrument (CUVINO) with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.932. The programs SPSS, Microsoft office Word 2016, Microsoft office Excel were used. And the results are exposed in tables of frequencies and percentages. Results: the study was made up of students between 17 and 25 years old (96.2%), female (82.6%), single marital status (96.2%), maintained a dating relationship for approximately 12 months (34, 0%). The prevalence of gender violence in nursing students is 30%. According to the types of violence present we have psychological violence (75.31%), sexual violence (16.77%), physical violence (24.68%) and instrumental violence (11.48%). Conclusion: gender violence in the dating stage in nursing students is present in high percentages. The types of violence found are sexual, physical, instrumental and psychological, the latter being the most predominant.
