    Condiciones sociales y culturales de los embarazos en adolescentes del Colegio Nacional Técnico Herlinda Toral, Cuenca 2013

    Target. Describe the social and cultural conditions of teenage pregnancies National College "Herlinda Toral" Cuenca 2013. Population Method and Materials: We performed a descriptive study with quantitative and qualitative techniques. With a universe of 15 pregnant adolescents aged between 12 and 19 years of the College Herlinda Toral from Cuenca. We reviewed the clinical records of the Institution Medical Department, records from GAE (Student Support Group), and data from the Department of Psychology, to identify the study group. We applied an interview guide, through which was identified: the sociocultural conditions of pregnant teenagers, from these three teenagers were selected for a "Case Study" and so deepen them, through a qualitative analysis. Results: 60% of teenage pregnancies are in the Middle adolescence (14-16 years), 87% initiate sexual activity in Middle Adolescence (14-16 years) 53% were single, 87% are enrolled in the high school program . The 40% have no knowledge of family planning, and 87% never used contraception, even though 60% if he knew about the planning. The 93% are Catholic, 67% of cases have rules of conduct established in the home, 93% of pregnant teenagers have family support. Conclusion: The social and cultural conditions of adolescents, such as early onset of sexual intercourse, contraceptive use decreased, lack of planning, among others are a predisposing factor for early pregnancy.
