(2013) Arias Saquicela, Angela Gabriela; Malo Alvarez, Daniel Esteban; Samaniego Sánchez, Augusto
This document aims to propose a housing model based on modular coordination as a possible solution to the housing shortage that globally affects the underprivileged. Under this purpose a chronological study of the emergence of modular coordination within the Architecture, where it has been used in several works performed with positive results. From knowing this context that we proceeded to investigate basic concepts to understand the modular coordination, such as standardization, the work of regulatory standards institutes, numerical series that were tested for a system of rational modular coordination, tolerances, and basic human body measurements in some daily activities, minimum dimensions of spaces in the home, among others. As a reference of the basic housing requirements with the neediest, a brief survey of the current situation in our country was made. Then,it was necessary to know about the materials and building systems that can be found in the market, their actions and main features, so you can choose from an infinite range the most suitable according to the need. Finallyall the investigated information was applied to a housing model using a modular coordination which is the best results to meet the initial objectives, obtaining a home that has a close relationship between architecture and construction, optimizing and improving production. As such this study is available to all the people interested in research about this topic.

(2018-02-02) Malo Alvarez, Daniel Esteban; Mora Serrano, Juan Sebastián
Case Study Houses, is an architecture project sponsored by the Arts and Architecture magazine, which, with renowned architects of the time, designed low cost and time constructed homes. Due to the fact that not all the houses were built, there is interest to take two houses to the project level, based on the existing information (plans, hand-drawn perspectives and models), in such a way that they allow us to have complete information about the architectural values of each house. The first house selected is CSH # 8. Also called the Eames house, a very well known house which has a previous version, the Bridge House 1945, because Eames House was built, most of the criteria of this project will be used to recreate the one that was not made. The second house is CSH # 24 by Archibald Quincy Jones and Frederick E. Emmons. Two very well known architects in Los Angeles area, characterized by their innovative modern designs and by being pioneers in the use of green designs, with several projects in their professional lives, certain homes will be selected to extract necessary information for the reconstruction of CSH # 24.
