Item Desarrollo de patrones matemáticos en niños de 3 a 6 años(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-31) Escandón Chango, Cynthia Monserrath; Lojano Quito, Tania Michelle; Ochoa Martínez, Anita AlexandraThe present degree project is of a monographic type and addresses the importance of the development of mathematical patterns, a relevant topic in the educational field as it promotes early and future mathematical knowledge. The main objective of this work was to bibliographically determine the process of development and stimulation of mathematical patterns in children aged 3 to 6. To achieve this, a descriptive and explanatory documentary research was carried out, allowing the characterization of this category of study through bibliographic analysis. The conclusions obtained revealed the importance of working with mathematical patterns in the early years, as they promote the development of logical mathematical thinking, contribute to cognitive development, enhance understanding of mathematics, and support cognitive, creative, and linguistic skills. Therefore, it is essential to stimulate their development through activities, resources, and materials that encourage practical learning through manipulation and play. Additionally, it is highlighted that within the scientific literature, repetitive patterns are the most investigated, followed by growth patterns, and finally, with less frequency, spatial structure patterns.
