The current work is inspired by the Parenting Educational Styles which have been the subject of some research in the city of Cuenca. This is a descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach entitled Parenting Styles in 2 to 5 year-old-children at Bambú Kindergarten in the city of Cuenca. The objective is to know the Parenting Style that prevails in a private educational institution in the city of Cuenca, and to get a vision about the way the parents are raising their children. The population consists of 50 children of 2 to 5 years old from Bambú Kinder garden located within the urban area. The questionnaire called Estudio Socio-educativo de Hábitos y Tendencias de comportamiento en familias by Susana Torío is used, modified and adapted to the Project Family Education Styles in the city of Cuenca. With the obtained results the general objective was achieved. The specific objectives were: to characterize the parenting styles defined in our research such as: Authoritarian, Democratic, and Permissive and to know the educational strategies that the parents from the Kinder garden use. It was observed that the parents’ attitudinal trends mostly respond to a Democratic Style.
