Item Estabilidad del color de resina impresa en 3D. Efecto del envejecimiento acelerado e inmersión en un medio de tinción. Un estudio in vitro(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-10-02) Lima Tola, Esteban Fernando; Collaguazo Saraguro, Joselyn Dayana; Astudillo Rubio, Daniela AndreaSummary: 3D printing is an innovative method for making indirect restorations. However, the color stability must be taken into consideration, because the time, humidity and exposure to colorants can modify the optical properties of the resins. Shin JW, et al. evaluated the color stability of printed resins and CAD/CAM blocks, concluding that the stability of the printed resins was lower, this color change coincides with that described by Alfouzan AF, et al. Objective: To determine the color stability of 3D printed resin subjected to accelerated aging by thermocycling and immersion in a staining medium, comparing its numerical coloration. Methods: A longitudinal in vitro experimental study was carried out to evaluate the color stability of a 3D printed resin indicated for definitive restorations in a controlled environment. Twenty-four 1.5 mm thick crowns in the shape of upper central incisors were prepared and subjected to thermocycling, simulating one year of oral use. After being immersed in coffee, red wine and distilled water, color stability analysis tests (Delta E) were performed at 0, 7, 14, 28 and 30 days. Data were statistically analyzed using a two-way ANOVA. Results: The immersion time, the different staining solutions and the interaction between these factors significantly influence the color stability of the 3D printed resin.Publication Status of light power intensity of light curing lamps in private dentalclinics in ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador(2023) Bravo Calderón, Manuel Estuardo; Bravo Lozano, Ariana Lucia; Peralta Avila, Andrea Nicole; Lima Tola, Esteban FernandoThe clinical efficiency of a photo polymerization unit is crucial to obtain an optimal polymerization and a successful result. The present observational study aimed to evaluate and analyze the intensity of the luminous power of the photo polymerization lamps of private dental clinics in Cuenca City, Ecuador. The luminous intensity was evaluated using the CK12024 radiometer (measured the curing time up to2000). It was classified according to the following parameters: Low performance (<300mw/cm2),regular performance (300 – 800 mw/cm2) and high performance (>800 mw/cm2), in a time of 20seconds and 40 seconds. in “Microsoft Excel”,;to register all the necessary data: number of lamp, typeof lamp, intensity of light power in 20 seconds, intensity of light power in 40 seconds, breakage of optical fiber and residues of biomaterials in the optical fiber. If you obtained as a result that of the 58lamps evaluated, a percentage of 0.6% (n=1) of the total photo polymerization units had a low performance, a 5.2% (n=3) had a medium performance and a 93.1% (n = 54) of them had a high performance. An adequate polymerization is crucial to obtain good physical and mechanical properties and excellent clinical results. According to the results obtained within the present study, it is observed that the majority of the photo polymerization lamps used in the private offices of the City of Cuenca, have a high clinical performance.
