    Pruebas básicas de laboratorio clínico en niños de 9 - 12 años de la Escuela Francisca Dávila del área de influencia del Centro de Salud No 2 de la ciudad de Cuenca, 2011

    This investigation was realized in 160 girls from 9 to 12 years, that they are present at the school Francisca Dávila, area of influence of the center of health N º 2 of the city of Cuenca - Ecuador. 2010-2011, there were realized basic tests of Clinical Laboratory in a universe of 20.527 students by a not random sample and descriptive method, for which sent to the family parents an informed assent explaining the procedures used to guarantee the ethical aspects. The blood samples were obtained under procedure of bioseguridad and quality control, and processed in the Clinical Laboratory of the Center of Diagnosis of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Cuenca and in the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso; using the equipment Cell-dyn 3700 and the spectrophotometer Spectronic 20 Geneses TM and the reagents of brand Human. The results were the following ones: Inventory of white blood cells 6244,6 ± 111,7x mm3 *, I recount of red blood cells 5303,6 ± 26,3 x 103 x mm3, hematocrito 44,0 ± 0,2 %, hemoglobin 14,9 ± 0,1 g/100 ml., platelets 325231,3 ± 4405,9 x mm3, glucose 78,5 ± 0,5 mg/100 ml. ASTO 17,5 % of 200 and 3,8 % bigger than 200 UI/ml. Urine in the strip reactivates hematuria 1,2 %, positive in leukocytes 1,2 % and Nitrites positive in 4,4 %; in the microscopic examination: 0,6 % +++ of cells epiteliales, 1,9 % bigger than 10 leukocytes x stand out, 4,3 bigger % than three hematíes x stand out, 1,3 % +++ of bacteria, crystals: 5,6 % uratos amorphous and 6,9 % oxalatos of calcium. Dregs: 11,9 parasitic % positive, cysts of Amoeba histolytica 8,1 % and of Giardia lamblia 0,6 %. All the results were correlated by the following variables: age, sex, height and weight. Statistical significance exists between: white blood cells with weight p: 0,040, hemoglobin with age p: 0,007 and glucose with age p: 0,040.
