    Cumplimiento en el tratamiento nutricional en los pacientes del Club de Hipertensos del cantón Paute

    OBJECTIVE: To determine compliance with nutritional treatment in the patients of the hypertensive club of the Paute canton of the community of Luntur. METHODOLOGY: This study deals with a descriptive cross-sectional study, with a universe of 117 participants, the method used was of descriptive quantitative type, the data collection was done by analyzing the information found in the clinical records, as well as the analysis of the results of the questionnaires used for this research. These results were tabulated through the Excel 2010 and SPSS programs 23. RESULTS: The 75.2% of participants are women and 24.8% are men; in ages from the age of 45 onwards. The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia in the group was 44.4% in the initial measurement and 49.6% in the final. Speaking of the percentage of weight change, the patients who did not present weight loss were those with the highest percentage with 62.4%. Regarding blood pressure control, uncontrolled patients represent 29.9% in the first measurement and in the second measurement 30.8%. According to physical activity, a large percentage of patients are located in low or no physical activity with 47.9%. CONCLUSION: In this study it can be seen that the majority of patients immersed in this research not comply with the recommendations for the control of blood pressure through nutritional treatment
