In this way, knowing the different perceptions allows us to perceive the participation in the comprehensive care of the patients in their final stage of life. Objective: to analyze the perceptions of care at the end of life of the nursing staff of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital in the clinical area, Cuenca 2020. Methodology: a qualitative study with a descriptive phenomenological design was carried out. It was evident that within the professional side it is about guaranteeing an optimal work for the patient, without neglecting the human side, they showed their feelings of helplessness, trying to satisfy the needs not only of the user but also of the family. Nursing professionals agreed that they want to commit to patient care and a good death. Conclusion: The perception of nursing professionals when providing these cares is not satisfactory for them, they emphasize that the academic training obtained has provided them with fundamental foundations, but regarding care at the end of life they seemed limited and superficial, in addition the implementation of protocols for this care and additional training in the study area.
