    Objective: To determine the incidence, risk factors and maternal-perinatal complications during pregnancy and delivery of term infants, large for gestational age, born Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital from 1 January to 31 December 2011.- Material and Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive, retrospective and clinical character whose sample is made up of all pregnant women at term, who had great products for gestational age during 2011.- Conclusions: The incidence of RNTGEG was 6.2%, the average maternal age was 26 years, the average population size was 152 cm, overweight women had higher prepregnancy RNTGEG frequency, Diabetes gestational diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hypertensive disease of pregnancy had little relation to RNTGEG, more frequent gestational age was related RNTGEG 39 weeks, 91% of mothers with RNTGEG presented any complications during childbirth, 82% of RNTGEG had some type of complication in the perinatal period.AU

    Prevalencia de factores de riesgo en madres con recién nacidos con peso bajo en el Hospital Luis F. Martínez, Cañar 1 de Enero 31 de diciembre del 2011

    Objectives: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of risk factors in mothers with underweight newborns in the Hospital Luis F. Martinez, Cañar. Materials and Methods: This is a work of descriptive, transversal and retrospective study group which are all mothers with newborns F. Luis Hospital Canton Martinez Cañar period January 1-December 31, 2011 to reach a number of 526 cases, was used as a data collection tool CLAP leaf in which you can select specific variables that are associated with low weight children. Results: There was the percentage of underweight children in relation to the general population of newborns. Variables such as maternal age, education level, marital status, height, prenatal, intergenesic, unreliable gestational age, pregnancy-related diseases (tuberculosis, hypertensive disorders, UTI, anemia), habits (smoking alcohol, drugs) and violence related to birth weight variability. We determined the characteristics of the newborn (sex, birth weight, gestational age, and low birth weight associated pathology). Finally it was observed that percentages of underweight children were referred to different areas.
