Moteradio and La Andariega are two digital communication media in the city of Cuenca that began their activities in 2016 and 2017 respectively, both have been showing different topics in each of their publications, which caught the attention of those of us who developed this work of investigation. Taking advantage of the impact of COVID-19 and everything that this disease affected at the local, national and international levels, it was decided to obtain the engagement that the audience had with the publications related to this topic and with the aforementioned media. For the analysis and calculation of engagement we relied on the categorization of Ángel Rodríguez and Lluís Mas, and Mariano Ure, who maintained a calculation according to the needs of each social network. With the progress of the research, it was possible to know which were the most widely accepted topics in each social network that the two digital communication media handle, analyzing above all the topics related to the pandemic to reject or confirm the hypothesis raised in this project: Moteradio, La Andariega and their readers gave importance to issues related to COVID-19 during the months of confinement due to the pandemic caused by this disease, which was reflected in the number of publications and the impact they had.
