    Simulación de escenarios de consumo de agua en condiciones de agricultura tecnificada bajo riego en el proyecto Pacalori- Provincia de Los Ríos

    This thesis was conducted within the megaproject PACALORI, located in the Guayas river basin. This basin corresponds to the South Western and Central South regions of Province of Los Rios, Ecuador. The main aim of the project Pacalori is to control floods and to storage water during the rainy season, in large, medium and small reservoirs to ensure the supply of irrigation water to an area of approximately 100.000 ha. The "Simulation of several scenarios of water consumption using technified irrigation for agricultural development" was held in reservoirs of Mangas Saibas and Chojampe. These reservoirs has a surface irrigation of 13.215 ha and 22.191 ha respectively. These have 105 and 180 million cubic meters of water stored in reservoirs. In these areas, the rates of inclusion of plot, the training needs and simulation of water consumption was conducted by the development of a informatics tool in Microsoft Excel ,resulting in spends of 89% and 92% of the total volume of reservoirs Chojampe and Mangas Saibas in the proposed areas. This tool is used exclusively in the project, which will have an agronomic model of water consumption at plot level. It can make different combinations of the proposed crops. The inclusion model was based on irrigation projects already implemented in Ecuador taking into account the requirements of the PACALORI Project. The project will provide courses training in irrigation and agricultural practices to 300 and 600 families / year in Mangas Saibas and Chojampe reservoirs’ respectively
