When speaking of spatial versatility or flexibility, reference is made to assuming change as a constant pattern, that is, having the possibility of easily modifying the space according to the changing needs of the user. For this, the use of a qualitative methodology is made through descriptive research to carry out the analysis of the architectural plans of the case study and identify the strategies that the single-family house has, recognize the modifications of the original design with the current design. The objective is to better understand the benefits provided by spatial adaptability that includes concepts of family formation, housing, habitat, living and appropriation of space according to their styles and ways of life as time passes. This in order to establish guidelines for flexible strategies to improve the distribution and use of single-family housing in the contemporary world.
