Item Diseño editorial pop-up para la enseñanza de sitios arqueológicos de Azuay y Cañar dirigido a niños de quinto año de Educación General Básica de Cuenca, Ecuador(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-03-10) Crespo Ortiz, Bryam Martin; Peralta Fajardo, Paul GustavoThis work proposes a pop-up editorial product aimed at fifth-year students of Basic General Education. For its development, the methodology of Jorge Frascara, presented in his book Diseño Gráfico y Comunicación (2000), was used. This methodology emphasizes clarity in communication and design functionality, covering the stages of planning, visualization, and production. In the initial phase, an analysis of similar products was conducted, interviews with experts in editorial design, children's illustration, and teaching were held, as well as surveys of students and user modeling to identify the characteristics and needs of the target audience. Subsequently, in the visualization phase, moodboards were created, haracters and settings were designed, and specific grids for the book's movable mechanisms were developed, culminating in the third stage, called production, which consisted of cutting pieces and assembling the book. The process was systematically documented in a logbook, which facilitated decision-making based on facts and ensured the coherence of the final product. The resulting book aims not only to be a visually appealing educational resource but also a functional tool to facilitate learning. This project highlights the importance of graphic design as a clear and effective communication medium, especially in the educational field.
