Currently, digital processes (ideation and manufacturing) have been closely related to contemporary architecture in the design and construction stages; allowing infinite variability in the design of an element without falling into chance, it is considered in this way that the professional is the one who guides the software and does not give total control to the computer (Lynn, 2013). In recent years, 3D printing has demonstrated a great capacity to manufacture any type of object that comes from our imagination, defining complex shapes with great accuracy and with a wide possibility of choosing any type of material; This allows an infinite number of applications in industrial processes without requiring excessive use of labor (Gil, 2019). Due to this background, a methodology was used in the research topic that starts from updating knowledge about technology applied to digital manufacturing and 3D printing. An analysis of preexisting materials implemented in local masonry and international references, which served as a basis for creating several prototypes of blocks and thus being able to demonstrate the versatility of creating geometric or parameterized digital models, depending on the skill of the designer with the support . of the different software that exists for design. At the end of the study, a single block prototype was obtained that was selected through surveys, built with the support of digital manufacturing and 3D printing, with the possibility of mass producing the masonry.
