Item Conocimientos y actitudes de los estudiantes del cuarto año de la carrera de enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca sobre las practicas integrales del parto Cuenca 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-03-04) Carchipulla Cedillo, Marcia Fabiola; Chuchuca Mogrovejo, Sandra Patricia; Buenaño Barrionuevo, Llaquelina AmandaBackground: The integral delivery practices are safe, effective, feasible strategies based on scientific evidence, in order to guarantee the immediate survival of the mother and child pairing, improve long-term health and nutrition, and prevent neonatal morbidity and mortality. Nursing interns play an important role in the application of the Clinical Guide of the Ministry of Public Health, through immediate and mediate care of the newborn and its mother, applying their knowledge and attitudes acquired during the three years of university and reinforced training in the year of pre-professional practices. Objective: To determine the knowledge and attitudes of fourth-year nursing students about Comprehensive Childbirth Practices. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study will be carried out, the universe is finite, and it corresponds to 123 students enrolled in the fourth year in the Nursing Career of the University of Cuenca in 2019. A survey prepared by the authors will be applied, before this; a pilot test will be carried out to validate the instrument. For the analysis of the information, Excel and SPSS version 15 programs will be used, the information will be presented in tables and graphs using frequencies and percentages. Results: the study population is mostly between 23-24 years old with a predominance of females (88%), they are coming from rural areas (69.11%), residing in urban areas (62.6%), of the total number of the students to the rotation area, 58% community area and 42% hospital area. Of the total population studied, 50% of the participants have a good knowledge, of 71 -100 %, about the integral practices of childbirth with a score between. The 97.5% of participants have a favorable attitude towards comprehensive childbirth practices, based on a developed questionnaire. Conclusions: The participants have a good knowledge, basic theory and a favorable attitude towards Comprehensive Childbirth Practices.
