Item Autopercepción en conocimientos y comunicación sobre salud sexual y acceso a los servicios de salud, en adolescentes escolarizados del Cantón Gualaceo. Azuay. 2016.(2017) Chiqui Guachichullca, Elsa Paola; Piedra Durán, Jhoana Maricela; Vega Crespo, Bernardo JoséBackground: Adolescence is a stage of life in which many changes occur, within these we have those related to the field of sexuality. For a teenager to develop fully as an individual, it is essential that he develop his sexuality. Access to health services and knowledge and communication about sexuality are equally important. Objective: To identify the self - perception in knowledge and communication about sexual health and access to health services in adolescents enrolled in Gualaceo canton, 2016. Methodology: Descriptive study. A validated form was applied to adolescents enrolled in Canton Gualaceo in the year 2016. Data were collected through a survey of 1,800 adolescents. Results: The average age of the participants was 14.09 years, 52.6% corresponded to the female sex. In terms of knowledge, only a little more than 30% have enough information (30.7%), most do not seek information (52.8%) and those who do prefer the internet as a source (27.9%), Most wanted are Pregnancy (27.7%), STD (19.6%) and contraceptives (14.1%). Sexuality issues, although they do not share them much, do more with parents (36.7%) and close relatives (31.8%), very little with their partner (23.8%). Conclusions: Although some have knowledge and have the sources to inform themselves or to be attended to, there is no adequate behavior regarding the interest in sexuality in these young people, there are deficits of confidence in the family.Item Masturbación femenina y su relación con la satisfacción sexual: estudio analítico transversal en alumnas de grado de la Universidad de Cuenca, año 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-01-20) Chiqui Guachichullca, Elsa Paola; Roldán Fernández, José VicenteBackground: masturbation favors sexual empowerment, including body awareness, increased self-confidence and the ability to manage one's own sexual pleasure alone or with a partner, contributes to sexual satisfaction that comes from sexual interactions and personal perceptions of erotic desire, and acts as a protective factor for female sexual dysfunctions. Objective: to determine the association between female masturbation and sexual satisfaction in female students of the University of Cuenca, during the academic period March - September 2022. Methodological design: it is a quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional study. The sample consisted of 510 students. A form was elaborated with sociodemographic data, masturbation and sexual satisfaction. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 25, EpiDat 4.2, Microsoft Excel 2010 and Microsoft Word 2017 programs; the measures used to present the results are frequencies, percentages, median and interquartile range; to contrast hypotheses the Chisquare (significance p< 0.05); to measure association the prevalence ratio and its 95% confidence interval. Results: the sample was composed of 510 female students, with a median age of 22 years, mostly of mestizo ethnicity (98.4%), with a prevalence of 448 cases of masturbation (87.8%), 245 cases of high to very high sexual satisfaction (48%) and 265 cases of medium to low sexual satisfaction (52%). A statistically significant relationship was determined between masturbation, sexual satisfaction, marital status and use of sex toys. Conclusions: the research assessed the association between female masturbation and sexual satisfaction in female students, in addition to the influential sociodemographic factors.
