    Imaginarios sociales y migración venezolana en Ecuador: análisis de los discursos en diario El Tiempo y Mercurio de la ciudad de Cuenca periodo 2019

    The purpose of this research was to determine the existence of social conceptions in news articles referring to Venezuelan migration in the newspapers Diario El Tiempo y El Mercurio of the city of Cuenca during 2019. A bibliography compilation and analysis were carried out as a basis to develop follow-up matrices, which were useful to detect variables used to structure a news article. These steps allowed us to generate tools to develop the corresponding discursive analysis, with the aim of identifying whether there exists a conception on society created by these mass media. To find the results, both qualitative and quantitative research were conducted. These allowed to identify the structure and focus that the mentioned media use in their published articles. Furthermore, a comparative study was carried out to determine the informative treatment applied by the studied media. It was found that social conceptions are ideologies implanted on society by the influence of mass media, which adapt the information to their convenience.
