The purpose of this work is to develop a preliminary architectural project to promote sustainable tourism in the parish of San Joaquín, which combines adaptable construction systems and sustainable systems that allow a relationship with the environmental, cultural and landscape conditions of the space to be intervened, without causing damage to the natural environment, through the search for a viable model in technical, constructive, aesthetic, formal, functional and economic areas. Located in Cuenca to the west of the city, the parish is characterized by its natural and cultural richness. This was done based on a multi-criteria analysis, which is established based on the systemic analysis of a bibliographic study regarding the architectural foundations for sustainable tourism; the study of references and site analysis, to culminate with a design proposal that promotes not only urban but social, cultural and economic development of the parish and place it as a tourist landmark not only regionally but also nationally. This is how the result of the architectural project ended up being part of a rigorous environment where the sustainable maintenance of tourism, in addition to having passive strategies such as the internal environment, natural ventilation and wind control, and through the practice of sustainable construction generate minimal environmental impact as one of the main features, as well as saving resources from the planning stage as implementation and commissioning of the project.
