(2016) Barrera Cordero, Diana Carolina; Barreto Naula, Jenny Vilma; Guillermo Ríos, Víctor Hugo
This project Creation and Implementation of a Socio-Cultural Magazine in the parish of San Miguel de Porotos in the District of Azogues, was created by two students from the career of social communication with the primary objective of creating a communications link in the parish, and as a contribution to the preservation and dissemination of the culture. In its development highlights the combination of theoretical knowledge acquired at university with the practice and inclusion in the field of study, based on theoretical research complemented by the history of the parish under study. Cultures and Traditions from San Miguel (San Migueleñas), a magazine covering topics of cultural, religious, social and sports, which collects innate stories of local people and demonstrates the ancestral wealth of its people, pottery, weaving straw and its high rate of Catholicism were the main features for the production of articles and photographs published in the first edition of this media. Openness and collaboration of parish authorities and residents allowed the accomplishment of this journalistic work, the same that was forged based on direct interviews and community involvement in different social and family areas.
