    Incidencia de la duración del turno sobre la productividad en una línea de producción mediante el uso de KPI´s

    The focus of the study is to determine if there is a relationship between the duration of the work shift and the productivity of the workforce. In the last years several studies have been done about extended work, finding the existence of negative effects when someone works in this system; these effects depend on the company conditions and the type of work. This study focuses on productivity. It was done in four manufacturing companies of different goods from the local environment, considering a production line of each one of them. Productivity was assessed using key performance indicators (KPI´s), which are elements of the performance management system (PMS). The results show the incidence of shift duration on productivity. The same are analyzed by scatter diagrams and the statistical tests: Analysis of the variance (ANOVA) and the T test, performed in the statistical program SPSS version 23
