    Calles para la soberanía alimentaria: el espacio de la mujer agricultora en las vías públicas de la ciudad de Cuenca (Ecuador)

    Street vending on public roads is an ongoing issue throughout Ecuador, where there is significant participation from female farmers who engage in this activity as a strategy to directly sell their products to consumers. Unfortunately, they are systematically discriminated against by social or institutional actors. Through a redesign of urban streets, a solution is aimed to be generated for this specific trade, allowing women to make appropriate use of public spaces. To achieve this, guidelines for the use and management of urban space are also proposed, enabling the development of a comprehensive project for the study area, with the potential for replication in other urban sectors facing similar issues.
