    Propuesta de elaboración de un suplemento turístico “Cuenca Turística” para el periódico vespertino La Tarde, rotativo de la ciudad de Cuenca, provincia del Azuay

    The following research is divided into three chapters in the theorical part: In Chapter I the Journalism generalities are set, the basic concepts of renowned authors; its historical evolution is narrated worldwide, making a focus on the analysis and historical development of journalism in Ecuador and Azuay. The importance of the work of three newspapers from Cuenca is given: “El Mercurio”, “El Tiempo” and “La Tarde”; we shows their organizational structure in this contexts. In Chapter II Cuenca is describe in its general aspects and its historical development; its tangible and intangible cultural heritage of its manifestations is highlighted; The international presence of the City through the titles achieved in recent years; the development of the tourism and its promotions in institutional levels are analyzed, highlighting the work of the Ministry of Tourism and its city tourism departments. In Chapter III the research proposal is present and to contextualize the title, we focus the research with the newspapers with its sections, the supplement as a special section of the newspaper is analyzed: definition, characteristics, types of supplements and the focus of these supplements in Cuenca main newspapers: “El Mercurito”, “Ellas&Ellos”, “La Pluma + Mujer”. Finally, the process of production and publication is presented with the Supplement “Cuenca Turística”, proposal of this research. The conclusions and recommendations, bibliography and appendices are added in this tittle.
