(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-06) Ayala Erraez, Nadia Marcela; Tómmerbakk, Elisabeth Marta
This research work will analyze the assembly of educational socio-technical networks from a covid-19 pandemic context, it is a case study applied in José Prócer Picoita High School located in the parish of Cruzpamba, Célica canton. This study will identify, explore, explain and describe the challenges and new socio-material educational practices that emerged during covid-19 pandemic, from an approach of the Red Actor Theory, this theory is based on the relationship between humans and non-humans, in this case teachers, students, parents and technology; when involved and associated in a socio-technical network. The design of this research is a case study, since it is a delimited contemporary phenomenon that combines and integrates several sources of information and kinds of data for a deep and detailed understanding. Also, techniques from a qualitative approach were applied to assist in the collection of data for this research. The results of this research show the process of education when allied with technology, therefore technology becomes a fundamental actor in the construction of a virtual educational system, since it allowed education to move forward instead of stagnate, however, the use of ICTs in the rural sector education fragmented the educational model, since there were challenges such as: not accessible internet or electronic devices (computer, cell phone, tablet) and lack of knowledge of ICTs.
