(2013) Arias Saquicela, Angela Gabriela; Malo Alvarez, Daniel Esteban; Samaniego Sánchez, Augusto
This document aims to propose a housing model based on modular coordination as a possible solution to the housing shortage that globally affects the underprivileged. Under this purpose a chronological study of the emergence of modular coordination within the Architecture, where it has been used in several works performed with positive results. From knowing this context that we proceeded to investigate basic concepts to understand the modular coordination, such as standardization, the work of regulatory standards institutes, numerical series that were tested for a system of rational modular coordination, tolerances, and basic human body measurements in some daily activities, minimum dimensions of spaces in the home, among others. As a reference of the basic housing requirements with the neediest, a brief survey of the current situation in our country was made. Then,it was necessary to know about the materials and building systems that can be found in the market, their actions and main features, so you can choose from an infinite range the most suitable according to the need. Finallyall the investigated information was applied to a housing model using a modular coordination which is the best results to meet the initial objectives, obtaining a home that has a close relationship between architecture and construction, optimizing and improving production. As such this study is available to all the people interested in research about this topic.
