    Tabaquismo y características socioeconómicas en la parroquia Bellavista de la ciudad de Cuenca, 2002-2003

    It is a study which corresponds to a project on Smoking at the University of Cuenca, which assigns groups through which studies on the socioeconomic characteristics of the urban population of the parishes of the city of Cuenca is made. In this case the parish of Bellavista. A descriptive epidemiological study was performed, in which the universe is chosen the urban population of the city of Cuenca, a stratified random sample, taking the 1of the families of the parish Bellavista, which corresponds to 302 people. Data collection was performed through structured interviews, which were tabulated with the use of PPE INFOR and EXCEL programs for further analysis as the objectives. From the results the 23.8son smokers, divided into 90.3hombres and 9.7mujeres. As for the social conglomerate, 58.3corresponden the low, medium and 40.3 to 1.4al high.
