El agua como recurso de proyecto, 3 casos de estudio del arquitecto Rogelio Salmona (1995-2008)
(2019-04-17) Andrade Arias, Wilson Xavier; Ramos Monori, Jeimis Leonardo
The purpose of this research is to expose the different formal-functional attributes of the water used as a project resource, for this purpose, this element and its characteristics will be defined and classified according to its forms and its encounter with man. It will also explore different manifestations that have occurred throughout history, all this with a focus on architecture. On the other hand, we will approach Modern Architecture and its principles, I will briefly identify with personal criteria, which have been the most explicit examples throughout history, prioritizing meticulously in the modern era of architecture and taking examples of catalog that evidences the use and importance of the water linked to the project. Finally, architect Rogelio Salamea will be taken as a reference for study, for which it has been considered to carry out a process of analysis and documentation of this architectural element (water) in the definition of the spaces of different emblematic works selected by the author, through of the architectural reconstruction, the possible approaches, proportions, design criteria and the different relationships that this element provides in the work and its immediate landscape will be interpreted.

Diseño de un sistema modular usando elementos prefabricados aplicados a vivienda y comercio a pequeña escala
(2014) Andrade Arias, Wilson Xavier; Padrón Crespo, Juan José; Albornoz Vintimilla, Boris Oswaldo
The architecture of residential and commercial use answers the needs of "permanence" and "transit" of man. Within the development of the human being we have seen that the construction has become a subject for experimentation and study towards the development of new techniques and methods that lead to a better use of resources. Within this research subject arises prefabrication compared to conventional construction. To achieve a system that includes the use of prefabricated elements, the main objective of this paper grade, it is necessary to study the module, understood as an integrator of the parts of a work, guided to form functional relationships, technical and aesthetic of the project. These two concepts are combined to introduce and integrate the activities of the work by the coordination of modular and dimensional elements. As reference we include: analysis of 3 works where the prefabricated elements become regulators of space, the analysis of prefabricated materials to establish through their characteristics the module design, starting point for the development of the modular system and analysis of architectural spaces to develop a proposal that meets the space needs required. In developing the modular system, which involves the use of prefabricated elements, we achieve through modular and dimensional coordination that the project reaches a level of almost complete prefabrication, besides to complying with a customizable architectural program thanks to the progressive growth of modules and versatility of spaces.
