Anteproyecto arquitectónico del nuevo mercado para la parroquia Baños
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-06-20) Aguilar Guiracocha, Jessica Patricia; Guzmán Cartagena, John Patricio; León González, Pablo Armando
The main purpose of this thesis research is to develop the design of the new market for the Baños parish. This initiative originates from the request of the GAD president, with the aim of providing high-quality equipment that promotes the economic and social progress of the parish. The project’s development is structured into several chapters. Firstly, a comprehensive analysis of the regulations governing market design was carried out, with the intention of establishing the legal and technical foundations upon which the architectural design will be based. Next, a study of relevant case studies was conducted to extract architectural and urban criteria applicable to our project. In the third section, a detailed analysis of the existing conditions and challenges that must be addressed and solved through architectural design is performed. Finally, the project itself was developed, integrating all previous research and analysis into the architectural design to meet the established objectives. This process involves the definition of spaces, appropriate distribution of sales areas, inclusion of common areas and services, as well as consideration of aesthetic and environmental aspects that contribute to the integration of the market into the urban environment.
