    Actividad física, consumo de tabaco y hábitos de sueño en personas con hipertensión arterial que acuden al S.C.S de Paccha, Cantón Cuenca. 2014

    The HTA (Hypertension) is a prevalent pathology which is associated to physical inactivity, tobacco use and sleeping disorders. Objective: To stablish an physical activity, sleeping disorders and tobacco use in people with Hypertension (high blood pressure) of Paccha parish district of Cuenca, 2014 Methodology: Descriptive study, performed in 91 patients with HTA of the Paccha parish, by means of interview were collected demographic variables (age, sex, level of education, marital status, occupation, etc.), besides knowing their habits (tobacco use, physical activity, and sleeping disorders). Data from the SPSS v.15 was analyzed, using simple spread sheets of frequency and percentages, average and standard deviation of the quantitative variables. Results: Age media of 67,38 ± 12,93 years; a frequency of 22% of poorly controlled HTA was detected, the frequency of physical inactivity was on 71,4%; 14,3% of the patients showed a low dependency of nicotine, 5,5% with a moderate dependency and 1,1% with a high dependency. The most frequent sleep disturbance on the population which is waking up during the night was 65, 9% Conclusions: The lack of physical activity, smoking and sleep disorders are frequently in hypertensive population, without presenting any statistically significant relationship between possible risks factors studied with uncontrolled HTA.
