Item Factores asociados al estrés académico en los estudiantes de la carrera de enfermería, Universidad de Cuenca 2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-04-05) Abad Cajamarca, Daniela Michelle; Patiño Morocho, Nayely Vanessa; Morejón González, María del RosarioThe transition college life requires that students make efforts to a adapt a new role, norms, responsibilities, and educational demands; hence causing academic stress (AS), defined the response of physiological, emotional, cognitive and behavioral arousal to academic stimuli and events, thus leading to the implementation of mechanisms design to cope with the reactions generated by stress. Otherwise, various complication would take place such as sleep disorders, gastro-intestinal problems, increased heartrate disease, high blood pressure, difficulty focusing and anxiety; consequently, affecting the quality of college life. Worldwide, 1 in 4 people suffer from stress, it is estimated that within cities there are 50% of people who suffer from it. Main Objective: to identify the factors associated with academic stress in nursing students at the University of Cuenca, March-August 2023. Methodology: quantitative, descriptive, observational and correlational study, with a sampling of 177 students. Expected result: This research aims to find the associated factors that cause academic stress in college students to immediately identify them, avoid complications caused by this condition and contribute to society and the university by allowing them to be part of the solution and avoid stressful situations
