Item Construcción histórico-visual alegórica del suceso de la música punk en Cuenca (2011-2018) mediante el collage(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Artes, 2026-03-03) Naula Ucho, Andrés Vinicio; Washco Castro, Adrián EfrénThrough autoethnography, this research addresses the punk music scene in the city of Cuenca between 2011 and 2018, materialized in the visual artwork Atrasado Cuy Asado. Based on the author’s personal experience as an active participant in this scene, the project proposes a reading of punk as a cultural practice grounded in self-management, the “do it yourself” ethic, and the production of memory from precariousness. The creative process is developed through the use of collage and punk graphics, drawing on images, visual fragments, and resources typical of DIY language, with the aim of constructing a visual archive that reveals a scene that was historically not formally documented. The research is supported by concepts such as cultural memory, archive, autoethnography, and noise as an aesthetic language, understanding the latter not only as a sonic phenomenon, but also as a visual and political stance. The artwork functions simultaneously as a document and as an artistic device, preserving fragments of a specific period of the Cuenca punk scene and resignifying them within contemporary art. In this way, the project contributes to artistic research by proposing a situated methodology that links personal experience, visual practice, and collective memory, generating a bridge between music and visual arts from a local context.
