    La víctima frente al principio de oportunidad en el derecho penal ecuatoriano

    This research work carries out a study on the Principle of Opportunity from a practical and doctrinal point of view, focusing in a particular way on the victim procedural subject, to determine and analyze his/her participation at the time of resolving the Fiscal request to apply the Opportunity; To do this, three chapters will be developed in which the victim will be analyzed within the Ecuadorian criminal law, after that, what is related to the Principle of Opportunity will be developed, to conclude with the analysis of practical cases resolved in the Criminal Judicial Unit of Gualaceo. Finally, after the theoretical, doctrinal and practical analysis, it will proceed to determine whether, when the Criminal Judge accepts the Prosecutor's request, the victim is or is not recognized as the main subject in the judicial process, and to determine from a practical point of view, the condition of the victim when it is decided to use the principle of opportunity.
