Propuesta artística decolonial del Encuentro de Dos Mundos por realización pictórica de una ucronía simbólica

History has been narrated from the perspective of the victors, silencing the memories of subaltern peoples. In this sense, fiction is configured as an act of resistance that enables the creation of alternative narratives and helps to rethink the relationship with one's own history. The proposal seeks to contribute to a decolonial vision of the Encounter of two worlds through a contemporary pictorial portrait that addresses the effects of cultural contact through a symbolic alternate history. The project is based on the Solar narrative universe, developed together with artist Jessica Chauca since 2021. Duality is a fundamental axis of the diptych, establishing a contrast between characters who represent opposing and conflicting worlds, but who are linked by a common search for freedom and belonging. Fiction is presented as a critical tool that highlights the human tendency to repeat mistakes, while opening up the possibility of reimagining history and promoting a renewed awareness oriented towards social transformation. The aesthetic experience thus proposes a questioning gaze that explores historical memory from a critical imagination.
