It also aims to define the phenomenon of "invisibilization" and the visualization of indigenous populations in the public sphere, during the construction of citizenship and the development of the modernity of the early twentieth century. In turn, they studied the consequences of the liberal program were in the city of Cuenca.Item Cuenca en la década del veinte: municipio, prensa y cultura(2017) Martínez Albornoz, José Ricardo; Borrero Vega, Ana LuzLinkages between the Municipality of Cuenca, its written press, and its cultural patterns from 1920 to 1930 are presented in this study. These linkages are assessed by analyzing town council minutes, and artistic and literary production that was published in local newspapers, literary magazines, and scientific journals in the decade in question. A historical context is also provided to shed light about the ¨everyday life¨ patterns of the epoch, as well as its artistic and cultural movements. Illustrious citizens from the city of Cuenca emerged in this period, whether by their participation in public positions or by their press publications of poetry and literature. These citizens’ aspiration was to strengthen the idea of a more cultured city that would lead to a deeply sought modernity, which was one of the most studied issues and certainly among the most discussed issues by authorities and cultural figures of the city. Specific actions taken by the town council are assessed in this research study; such actions include publishing books that covered a broad range of subjects, and supporting local artists by granting scholarships, incentives, and awards to craftsmen. To achieve this purpose, the study contextualizes the historical places of the city, starting from brief chronological and geographical antecedents. The practical part of this study focuses on the creation of the School Project called "My city in photos, historical landscapes of the world" in Unidad Educativa Particular Bilingüe Interamericana for 8th, 9th and 10th graders, and the creation of a historical photography club in first and third years of Bachillerato. There is also a bibliographic revision, implementation of ICTs and social networks. Finally, five historical ways were created for the pedagogical route of students of the School Project and the Photography Club. Finally, a theoretical and practical process shows the systematization of the following experiences: 1) How to teach history through old photographs to students of EGB Superior and Bachillerato, in this case: the history of Cuenca. 2) How to create five pedagogical routes and the systematization of experiences with students. 3) How to create historical knowledge of Cuenca based on students' perceptions 4) How to generate a meaningful learning in terms of historical photography and collaborative work. The study shows how old photography, in a kind of "domino effect," made students perceive the emblematic places of the city, from one photograph to another.Item Estudio del paisaje rural de la parroquia Ducur: impactos causados por el Poliducto Pascuales – Cuenca(2017) Pomaquiza Zamora, Digna Alejandrina; Borrero Vega, Ana LuzThe present study titled " Estudio del Paisaje Rural de la Parroquia Ducur: Impactos causados por el Poliducto Pascuales – Cuenca" analyzes the relationship between the rural landscape of the Ducur parish of Cañar province and the positive and negative changes starting of the construction and implementation of the polyduct. In this project, we will analyze the physical and human elements that make up the rural landscape of the Ducur parish. Its flora, fauna, rivers, waterfalls and streams are samples to the nature in its purest state. While agriculture, livestock, traditional architecture and other cultural aspects, are too part of the complex Andean cultural landscape, which is reflected in its rich toponymy, derived from: derived from crops, flora and fauna of each area. This research shows the consequences of the Pascuales - Cuenca Polyduct, which runs through the parish from west to east, and it has an extension of 210 km. Among the negative impacts caused in the natural landscape are actions such as clearing and clearing the vegetation along its path that also affected the fauna. Temporary jobs, compensation works, trade promotion, improvement or creation of potable water systems are the so-called positive impacts.
