Item Acoso textual invención y fin de un mundo: un signo de lo contemporáneo(2010) Correa Astudillo, María Augusta; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineItem Análisis de la cuentística de Mary Corylé: Mundo pequeño (1948) y Gleba (1952), desde las dimensiones de la hermenéutica(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-02-16) Arias Rodríguez, Freddy Santiago; Nieves Barbecho, María Elizabeth; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThis project addresses the short story work of the ecuadorian writer María Ramona Cordero y León (Mary Corylé), from the hermeneutical analysis based on two short stories: Mundo Pequeño (1948) and Gleba (1952). It will seek to locate and interpret the main signs and meanings of the narrative production of Mary Corylé, published between 1940 and 1960, a period known within Cuenca literature as the transition period (Dávila, 1998). The interpretative reading will take into account the interconnections that occur between the signs that formulate a literary text, and between these and those that make up the social and ideological contexts in which the works are produced. The present study will require a qualitative investigative approach because the body that will allow the study will try to record all the short stories that the writer has produced. It is known that there are few critical studies on this subject, which will allow the present investigation to complete the critical panorama that exists about Mary Corylé. For the theoretical and methodological framework, postulates have been taken from authors such as: Dufays, S. (2016); Giorgi, G. (2014); Lloret, A. (1980); Gonzales, L. (2018); Lespada, G (2015); Jimenez, C. (2021); Ojeda, M. (2020); Foucault, M. (1977), Garrido Domínguez, A. (2004). In addition, the critical canon that is generated on the Cuencano-Ecuadorian narrative will be expanded. The critical development of this study becomes fundamental for Ecuadorian letters, its execution will make visible from the shadows the literary canonical of the country.Item Análisis de los tipos de violencia en los cuentos El Ojo Silva, Prefiguración de Lalo Cura, Putas asesinas y el retorno de Roberto Bolaño(2017) Huiracocha Ordóñez, Inés Mariela; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThe present work studies the types of physical-sexual and symbolic violence in the stories El Ojo Silva, Prefiguración de Lalo Cura, Putas asesinas and El retorno by Roberto Bolaño with the purpose of characterizing them and showing them as messages and latent speeches in today's society. The analysis of the discourse has allowed to generate a critical approach to the different ways of representing the violence in the stories of this author. The concept of physical-sexual violence proposed by José Sanmartín Esplugues, as well as Pierre Bourdieu's concept of symbolic violence, are the fundamental bases for analysis.Item Análisis hermenéutico de la antología lírica “Tzántzicos… poesía. 1962-2018” de Raúl Arias. In addition, it will take as an interpretation tool the axes of the hermeneutic circle: context, text, reader Baeza (2002), Cárcamo (2005) and Garrido Domínguez (2005). To complement this research we used a field work and the technique of the interview was applied, which allowed us the necessary information and the data collection to form the glossary of basic terms. The possible results are intended to show that within the jargon of the shoemakers arise several linguistic phenomena for the creation and formation of words. Therefore, it can be evidenced that in the lexicon of cobblers presents a set of resources that is formed in connection with a work environment. That is, cobblers use a lexicon that allows them to communicate with each other and generate processes of group understanding. Therefore, their vocabulary reaches specific features and different from other trades or professions.Item Análisis léxico semántico del argot de los estuqueros en Cuenca(2019-07-26) Villa Pañega, Angel Cornelio; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineIn the present work, we have carried out a semantic lexical analysis of the slang of an important occupational group in our society, as it is the one of the basin stuccoes represented by those who work in the Ricaurte and Nulti parishes. The objectives of this inquiry are, to rescue and show this type of speech, which is part of their daily communicative task. In the first part, we expose the historical and socio-cultural context of these parishes, highlighting the importance of the work carried out by the stoners. Next, the theoretical framework referred to: the language in its social context; the language, you speak, the argots and their particularities, topics pertinent to this sociolinguistic work. Later, we explain the methodology applied for the elaboration of this research. To then, focus on the respective semantic lexical analysis. Finally, we will inform the social and linguistic conclusions assimilated in this field research, recommending future researchers in this area, to continue similar work, as they are useful, practical and feasible for our professional training.Item Análisis léxico semántico del habla de los internos de la Comunidad Terapéutica “Hogar Crecer” de la ciudad de Cuenca(2019-05-22) Villazhañay Tenesaca, Katherine Araceli; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineIn the present work, an investigation is developed on the speech of the inmates of the therapeutic community "Hogar Crecer" of the city of Cuenca. The objective is to perform a lexical-semantic analysis of the linguistic variants in the speech of this particular group of young people. The research was carried out from an ethnographic study with the implementation of semi-structured interviews through, the sample in a universe of thirty young people of which five of them have been selected to register the best possible number of their linguistic use. Variables in use. They helped us to collect the terms that helped us develop a basic glossary. It is thus demonstrated that linguistic phenomena emerge in the jargon of the inmates, which are signified in particular contexts and whose uses function in contexts creating new words. In this way, it can be asserted that the language of the inmates creates a connection between the consumer environment and group understanding, very necessary to hide the purchase and consumption of drugs. For these reasons we consider it very important to encourage and encourage more research like the present, in other youth social groups of the city to preserve their speech, a fundamental element of the development of civic culture.Item Análisis semiótico de «La magia y el mito en la cura del mal del ojo en Cuenca»(2016) Toapante, María Eugenia; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThis paper will address the issue of the significance of the rite of the "cure the evil eye" in the city of Cuenca. This rite of healing is within the traditional medicine as an element of popular culture, as part of the Andean world. We try to describe and interpret the role of the rite as an element of culture; perform some ideas about the elements and their correlations with the language used in the treatment of the "evil eye" into the Cuenca society. Likewise the different meanings of the symbolic elements; cuy, plants, candles, eggs, alcohol, coal, garlic, ribbons, among others, to analyze how these complement the linguistic oral texts and help locate and clarify certain specific directions for the development of cultural and ritualistic practice of "cura del mal de ojo ". For this we will use the method of semiotic analysis proposed by Luis Panier argue that for a semiotic reading must seek the meaning of the text by planes or levels: discursive, narrative and limited in where relationships are recorded between moments of production and receiving text and allows us to establish consistent levels of observation. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2025-10-22) Espinoza Domínguez, Fernanda Jacqueline; Morocho Marca, Jenny Karina; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThe present research aimed to analyze and understand the functionalization of the Andean worldview and the mystical journey in the novel “Electric Shamans at the Feast of the Sun” (2024) by Mónica Ojeda, from an eco-semiotic perspective. For this, an analytical-interpretative design was applied, which allowed to decompose the narrative and symbolic elements of the text within the contemporary Ecuadorian sociocultural context. The qualitative approach facilitated a deep interpretation of the cultural signs in relation to the ecological world signs present in the work. The semiotic eco-analysis identifies the systems of symbols related to the Andean cosmovision and that of the images of the language that allow its visibilization. The results show that the novel is organized around elements of the natural world, where the ancestral and the modern actively dialogue. In this cultural setting, the events reported are transformed into natural symbols and shamanic rituals. Thus, “Electric Shamans at the Festival of the Sun”, from a contemporary, critical, and ecological perspective, demonstrates ways of life, of inhabiting, and of narrating that challenge the boundaries between traditional knowledge and current discourses, reaffirming its value as a symbolically complex and culturally powerful text.Item El imaginario cuencano desde la brevedad: análisis hermenéutico de La noche maravillosa (2006) y Días de la vida (2022) de Jorge Dávila Vásquez(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-23) Guachún Guamán, Sergio Rafael; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineIn his literary career, the writer from Cuenca Jorge Dávila Vásquez has reflected the society and experiences of the region, the nation and the international through his short stories, especially through the concept of brevity. However, the evolution of the author's narrative style shows the need to investigate the particular brands of his micro-writings throughout the XXI century. For this reason, in the present investigation he analyzes the micro-storytellers: Días de la vida (2022) and La noche maravillosa (2006) produced as part of the imaginary of Cuenca and the Region during the last twenty years, issuing a thematic interpretation of the works from the dimensions of hermeneutics. The interpretation of particular signs and meanings of the Cuenca imaginary, found in the works, was carried out from categories such as: death, family, angels, places, music and the urban. These variables will be examined from the postulates issued by Manuel Villavicencio (2000), Garrido Domínguez (2005), Alicia Ortega (2017) and Carmen Rosa Álvarez Torres (2021).Item Escrituras y legados: Dolores Veintimilla y Mary Corylé, transgresión a la hegemonía patriarcal(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-02-09) Alvarado Ayora, Heydi Brigit; Faicán Sánchez, Mateo Fabián; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThis paper reviews the literary productions of Dolores Veintimilla Carrión (1829-1857), situated in the literary strategies of Romanticism; in the text, Dolores Veintimilla de Galindo. And the lyrical calligraphies of María Ramona Cordero y León, (Mary Corylé́) (1894-1976), located in the discursive strategies of Postmodernism, in the corpus of Aguafuertes of (1954). A parallelistic study based on the notions of legacy and transgression of patriarchal hegemony has been proposed; for this purpose, the interpretative axes of hermeneutics and semiotics have been considered to characterize her literary texts as a product of the exercise of feminine subjectivities, opposed to the patriarchal order of their times.Item La invención del jardín. Antología, (2018): caracterización y travesía de la propuesta lírica de Julio Pazos Barrera en el escenario de la literatura ecuatoriana de las décadas del 80, 90 y 2000(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-03-15) Arpi Buestán, Jessica Verónica; Mendieta Pintado, Jessica Priscila; Naula Espinoza, Margarita Cristina; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThis research analyses the anthology La invención del jardín, (2018), by Julio Pazos Barrera, (Baños-Ecuador, 1944), a collection of texts that collects the author's production between 1979 and 2016, gathered in 250 poems from 17 collections of poems. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2025-10-30) Loja Vanegas, Luis Alberto; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineLos hijos (1962) is an Ecuadorian novel written by Alfonso Cuesta y Cuesta belonging to the Literary Transition period, as it deals with themes such as migration and urban conflicts, renews narrative structures and builds rounded characters. Within this framework, the present study will analyze the Andean symbolism of water in the novel. The methodology applied will be analytical-interpretative, with a qualitative approach. Our tool of analysis will be the postulates of ecosemiotics, a current developed by Nöth (2001), Maran and Kull (2014), Kull (2016) and Zengiaro (2024), which will allow us to explore the interrelations of the natural and cultural systems of the work and build an ecological understanding of the world through the Andean symbolism of water, which will be analyzed from the theories of Estermann (2006), Lozada (2006) and Limón (2024). In this way, we identify the ecological roles in the work through the signs emitted by water, as well as its symbolism embodied in the rain, the rivers and the jars.Item Las alcobas negras (1995) de Eugenia Viteri: memoria voluntaria y autoafirmación del personaje de la prostituta(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-12-02) Pando Cornejo, Jenny María; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThis research analyzes the character of the prostitute, her voluntary memory, and her selfassertion in the Ecuadorian novel Las alcobas negras (1995) by Eugenia Viteri. This study answers the following question: What are the strategies used by the character of the prostitute to represent herself, remember and assert herself in Las alcobas negras? Regarding the theoretical framework, the following categories are used: “prostitute” (Tubert, 2013 and Sanchis, n.d.), “voluntary memory” (Bergson, 2006) and “self-affirmation” (Heim, 2006, as well as Arella, Fernández, Nicolás and Vartabedian, 2007). Regarding the methodological framework, the hermeneutical analysis is used from the perspective of Baeza (2002), which appeals to the fusion of the text, the context and the interpretive act. This academic work addresses a new perspective on the character of the prostitute. She is characterized as an individual who decides about her body, her sexuality and for making prostitution a job and a source of obtaining resourcesItem Lenguas en contacto: análisis sociolingüístico de las formas lingüísticas mestizas shuar-español en la comunidad Chupiankas(2019-03-08) Villa Ayala, Esteban Fernando; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThe present work is a sociolinguistic analysis of the Languages in Contact: Shuar - Spanish within the Chupiankas Community. The members of this community are bilingual Shuar Indians, who are in permanent contact with the mestizo culture and their language. So that, the results of the research warn that the Shuar language has lost "linguistic vitality" with respect to Spanish, which has gained breadth of preference and frequency of use within the community. Multiple social factors such as the monolingual educational system, the geographic location of the place, the media, among others, directly affect this Bilingual process. Which has motivated us to analyze and describe the linguistic situation of the Chupiankas Community, from the study of the Bilingualism and Diglossia phenomena from the sociolinguistic perspective. The research is based on a fieldwork where observation, survey and interview techniques were applied, which allowed us to obtain the necessary information and data. In multiple communication scenarios, the Shuar has been constituted as a dominated or weak system, while the Spanish, is the preferred system in the communication of the commoners of place.Item Narcotráfico, crimen y escenarios. Un acercamiento hermenéutico a la crónica, “Si me querés, quereme transa” (2010), de Cristian Alarcón(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2025-10-30) Barreto Aucapiña, Denisse Magaly; Verdugo Cárdenas, Gladys JaquelineThe work of contemporary literary chronicle consists of insertion into limited spaces of society, with the intention of analyzing the spaces inhabited by the subjects of the work, who, by living in precarious conditions, chose to involve themselves in a life of crime. This project approaches Cristian Alarcón's work Si me querés, querereme transa (2010) from a hermeneutic analysis, taking into account Ricoeur's triple mimesis. The aim is to explore how these spaces influence the construction of their identities and their foray into the world of drug trafficking, which is presented as a daily reality in their lives. Given that few studies on this topic exist, this research seeks to fill that gap and contribute to correcting the current information bias, with the objective of analyzing and understanding the fictionalization of themes such as drug trafficking, crime, and urban settings within the work. For the development of the theoretical and methodological framework, authors such as Alday (2020), Polit (2014), Laub (2007), Carillo (2008), Domínguez (2004), Gadamer (2004), Ricoeur (1991,1995), Alarcón (2010) have been taken.
