Hanging Bridges are structures that allow crossing an obstacle at different levels. They are made by a panel supported by vertical or inclined wire hangers, which are the support structure. This type of bridges hangs supported in two towers. In areas of tropical climates, with difficult accessibility, it has been focused on the bamboo solution and using it as local and ecologically sustainable materials, supporting the conservation of environment and forests, and in the use and the main construction of the board. In this research, work is given to the priority and importance to the solution of constructive technical details of the junctures between bamboo and wire or board. The use of design methodology structures in bamboo by the allowable stress method has been also reviewed.

Knowing that exist two big groups of profiles of structural steel, being these plies instantly ( AISC ) and the shaped in cold ( AISI ), and due to the increment of the use of the last ones, he is offered the mentioned software in order that he speeds up to solve the complexity that the mathematical formulations to calculate the resistant capacity of the profiles present.
The present work stresses the two types of more used sections for the design to flexion and to compression as guy's profiles are G and C, gets involved all the designing parameters with the respective procedure and it is allowed to evaluate the limb in a report of curves which he gets ready in of the length not borne versus the nominal effort of the structural analyzed element.

With the information of seismic events in the Cuenca city collected for over ten years by the Seismic Laboratory of the University of Cuenca, the technical processes for the production of new building design spectra were performed, making further analysis with spectra which are presented in the Norma Ecuadorian Construction "NEC-SE". It shows that the "NEC-SE" overestimates the seismic effect on the locality and it is suggested to use this information for calculation and design of structures in the Cuenca City.

The present study is based on typifying two non-traditional types of steel structure industrial plants use in the industry, for its subsequent structural design, the loads that influence on the structured were established after the two non-traditional types of industrial buildings have been defined , paying attention to the seismic loads using an elastic response spectrum of accelerations, the combination of the loads are defined by the NEC (Ecuadorian Building Standard) to determine the internal forces and deformation to which the structure will be exposed , with this, it was possible to define the sections of each one of the structural members, being able to withstand the stresses to which each of them will be subjected, and control the deformations in order they can be within the parameters established by the design regulation for this kind of structures, having as a final result the structural drawings of the two industrial plants.
The structural modeling was done using the software SAP-2000, where the materials of the building, the sections of each one of the structural member, the loads and the combination of loads were defined, for the design and structural analysis of each one of the industrial plants.

The designs of buildings with conventional system (reinforced concrete) are the most frequently used in the city of Cuenca. The mixed structures have an entry in the local market of low to medium complexity, but at the moment no is completely massified. The design of mixed steel-concrete structures has a better performance in times of the conventional reinforced concrete construction, resulting less use of labor, which is an important factor to when programming a construction job.
This paper is a bibliographic database for sizing the structural elements (beams and columns) of a mixed character, making a comparison, at the end, of the same project from an analysis of reinforced concrete structures versus mixed (concrete-steel), both at structural design, budget and schedule work.

The evaluation of the seismic vulnerability of the buildings belonging to the city of Cuenca - Ecuador has been approached in a global way, and their analyzes have been placed in integrated maps of structural damage, with the intention of taking actions capable of mitigating the seismic danger to the which are exposed.
In an already consolidated urban area with a high seismic hazard, the only way to mitigate the seismic hazard is to construct buildings with earthquake resistant structural elements and in the buildings built before the promulgation of the first building code that established already resistant earthquake design, year of 1977, need a structural reinforcement due to their unacceptable seismic resistance.
In this sense, a large part of the patrimonial buildings of the historical center of the city have to be reinforced, but their character of heritage buildings limits this action, for example for an architectural rehabilitation one has to respect the architectural typology, the fundamental morphological characteristics, materiality and Integration with their environment. (GADMCC., 2010)
Thus, the present work analyzes in particular the seismic vulnerability of a patrimonial building located in the historical center of the City of Cuenca - Ecuador, values the damage index in the presence of a quake of design as established by the “Norma Ecuatoriana de la Construcción” NEC (2015) and proposes an alternative structural reinforcement for its adobe walls and walls, without this method or its materials being counterposed with its equity value or its value of origin.

Given the increased use of steel profiles in our area, used in many cases without experience, which becomes a threat that could affect the safety of people. The start of this work will serve as a guide for all professionals interested in increasing their knowledge and to begin calculation and design of structural elements using composite sections; the calculation and design of composite sections, specifically mezzanines built with composite slab on beams, concrete -filled tubular columns using the LRFD method, model an structure that was calculated using steel sections only.
The results of the two analyzes are tabulated and compared; the weight of the steel that is necessary when using steel elements only against the weight of the steel that is necessary when the steel is calculated working with concrete.
