Background:
Child development is a process in which children acquire complex skills and abilities
as they interact with different stimuli in their environment. If a child develops certain
skills slowly or not at all, a lag or risk of developmental delay is suspected. The EDI
test evaluates child development and identifies risk factors, allowing timely action to
be taken in the face of threats to child development.
Objective:
To determine the level of child development in children aged 4 to 60 months in the
Mariano Estrella health center using the EDI test. Cuenca 2022.
Methodology:
Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study in a population of 147 children of the
Mariano Estrella Health Center. Data were collected using the Child Development
Test (EDI) and the data collection form. IBM SPSS version 23, Microsoft Excel and
Word 2019 were used for the analysis and tabulation of the results.
Results:
Of the population studied, 57.8% was male, 44.9% belonged to the older infant age
group (12-35 months); 61.2% showed typical development, 13.6% were lagging
behind and 25.2% were at risk of developmental delay in both sexes.
Conclusion:
In the research population, the socio-economic status variable showed a statistically
significant correlation (p = 0.011) in relation to child development outcomes.

This quasi-experimental research, based on educational intervention workshops, took place during the months of April and May, 2011. The sample consisted of 290 parents of children between 3 and 5 years old, who attended the CEMDIs in Cuenca Ecuador. This research was conducted considering that these parents needed to learn about the sexual curiosity that arouses at this age, in order to satisfy the necessities of their children.
The investigation began with the implementation of a "Pre-test" form, followed by the development and execution of the educational intervention. The intervention consisted of 27 workshops dedicated to 290 parents of children between 3 and 5 years old from the CEMDIs. In order to accomplish this, three 90 minute workshops were dictated for each of the nine CEMDIs.
At the end of the workshops a "Post-test" form was applied to the parents of children between 3 to 5 years old from the CEMDIs. The form, which was related to the sexual curiosity of children, allowed us to systematize and analyze the results. In this sense, we were able to assess the effectiveness of the intervention that was carried out.
The research evidenced that most of the population practice Catholicism, are married, live in urban areas and have a higher educational level.
The highest percentage of parents who participated in the research were between 25 and 35 years old. Moreover, the highest percentage of participants was represented by married catholic women, living in urban areas and with secondary instruction.
The parents had no knowledge on the subject of sexual curiosity of children. Particularly, on issues such as: sex games, childhood masturbation, FAQs, erection, development of children and family communication. After the intervention, the parents were able to reach a 70% of the knowledge and their doubts were cleared. Also, they were able to visualize their children´s sexuality in a healthy way, without taboos or prejudice and as part of the comprehensive development of children.
The methodology that was employed allowed us to work together in a participative, dynamic, experiential, critical and constructive way. Thus, using meaningful visual material that contained clear and explicit language. As a result, we achieved a 70% of effective intervention.

Background
Currently, parents are facing stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020,
where social isolation has been seen for its prevention, promoting teleworking and teleeducation. The need to determine the level of physical and mental exhaustion presented by
parents is observed, after being aware of children in tele-education, in their telework, and
household chores. For this reason, it has been decided to know the Burnout syndrome in the
parents of the children of initial I and II of the Juan Bautista Aguirre School of Basic
Education - Miraflores.
General objective
Evaluate the Burnout index to parents of boys and girls from initial I and II from the Juan
Bautista Aguirre Basic Education School - Miraflores.
Methodology
Prospective descriptive quantitative study. With a total of 85 parents of children from initial
I and II from the Juan Bautista Aguirre Basic Education School - Miraflores, to whom the
Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) was applied.
The data collection method was from a primary source, the MBI inventory and a
sociodemographic data collection form were applied; The IBM SPSS program, version 23.0,
was used for data analysis and tabulation. For the presentation of results, tables from the
Microsoft Excel 2016 program were used.
Results
The population that shows an index of Burnout syndrome were mothers between 31 and 35
years of age, married marital status, education between high school and third level, in charge
of a position and who work hours of at least 8 hours a day.

BACKGROUND: Psychomotor development disorders are an important part in pediatric problems, where we observe difficultes in different areas of development and neurosensory problems. It is important to know the level of maturation of the child so we will observe alterations in their developmente, the same ones that can be altered by bio-physical-social factores such as: prematurity, hypoxia, congenital malformations, low birth weight, in the mother may present arterial hypertension multiple pregnancy, urinary tract infection, etc. That is why to identify problems early in development, different screening techniques should be use, one of them is the Denver II Test. It should be taken into account that this test does not assess intelligence or preside over what future intelligence will be, but rather it is a tool to whether or not it presents in it´s development.
GENERAL OBJETIVE: determine of psychomotor development of children who attend the children centers of good living Patamarca II and Hermann Gmeiner during the period of years 2017.
METODOLOGY: the present investigation is of descriptive type, that pretends to collect information on the psychomotor development in children of one to three years of the CIBV Patamarca II and Hermann Gmeiner in the year 2017. For the data collection was applied the Denver II test has a specificity (43%) and sensitivity (83%), that is it has a great capacity to detect delays in the development in any of its evaluated áreas. We evaluated 114 children who met the inclusion critera, the data obtained were tabulated in the software SPSS version 15 and then analized and interpreted by graphs and charts.

The first years of life are essential for an aproppiate integrated development of children
because those are the moments they are exposed to a number of stimuli, which will
influence their growth whit activities that benefit their motor, social, cognitive, and
communicational skills. This will definitely have an impact on childrens future learning;
however, this might also be affected because of prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal factors.
Therefore, this study aims to identify the psychomotor development of the children
attending Bilingual School, using the Brunet-Lezine test.
General objective
To determine the psychomotor development of children attending Interamerican
Bilingual School.
Methodology
This is a descriptive and quantitative study. The purpose was to evaluate the
psychomotor development of four- to six -year-old children attending Interamerican
Bilingual School using the Brunet-Lezine test. The results were tabulated using the
statistical software IBM SPSS, version 22
Results
The results show that 47% of the participants were male, in regard to the socioeconomic
status, the middle level is prevalent at 82,4%; and 53,71% of their parents have been to
college. Finally, 96,25% of the participants show appropriate development, and 3,75%
show deficiency in their development.

Background: Psychomotor problems in preschoolers are frequent and of great impact for the child, family and society, causing motor, cognitive and emotional effects. These problems can be transitory or permanent, triggering a disability. In order to prevent this condition, early detection and later an adequate intervention is required.
The Psychomotor Evaluation Scale allows detecting a high, medium or low psychomotor profile according to each child's abilities and development.
Objective: To determine the psychomotor profile in children from 4 to 5 years old of the Sayausí Educational Unit, by means of the "Psychomotor Evaluation Scale in Preschool".
Methodology: The present research work was carried out with a descriptive, prospective approach that was developed in the "Sayausí" Educational Unit located in the city of Cuenca, with a population of 102 children between the ages of 4 to 5 years, applying the EPP Test directly on the children. The data processing was carried out using Microsoft Excel and the SPSS free version of the statistical program, and the Chi-square test was used to determine statistical significance.
Results: Based on the results, the psychomotor profile in children from 4 to 5 years of age, the normal level predominates in all the areas evaluated by the scale. In the area of Locomotion with 67.6%; in the area of positions with 59.8%; in the area of knowledge of the body schema they present 58.8%; hand coordination 57.8%; arm coordination 52.9%; in the area of balance and leg coordination they present 47.1%.
Conclusion: The application of the Psychomotor Evaluation Scale in Preschool, allowed us to know that the majority of the study population of the present project is at a normal level of development

This research was carried out with the objective of determining the level of intellectual maturity through brain gymnastics, the same, which was created in
the 1970s by Dr. Denninson, through a series of exercises that integrate the three dimensions of the brain, providing a global learning.
A study experimental, in the city of Cuenca, with a universe of 30 children and/or girls from the Educational Center "Sol Naciente", was applying a pre and
post-assessment using the test of BADyG, the same that was used as a tool for evaluation of the effectiveness of the brain gym program. The intervention of the brain gym program was held with 15 minutes, in the course of 15 days and at the beginning of their daily activities.
Applied in addition measures statistics such as the mean, median, standard deviation and T Student, with a margin of error of 5%.
Was obtained a significant result in the level of General intellectual maturity
subsequent to intervention with a percentage of 82.23%, compared to the preassessment with a percentage of 59.50%, finally confirming the hypothesis that Cerebral gymnastics program is effective in the development of the level of intellectual maturity and/or children aged 4 to 5 years of age.
We cannot ignore the importance of teachers, who strengthened infants learning every day, therefore, also influencing this study

This research is done through a quasi-experimental study, allowing us to know the knowledge, attitudes and practices of parents of children with intellectual disabilities, which was conducted at the Association for the Integral Development of the Child / an Exceptional Azuay "ADINEA." July to December 2009.
In the period between July and September 2009, it delivers the first survey (Precaps) to parents, which were distributed in the areas of Early Learning, Elementary, Pre-shops and workshops.
In the results we observed that a number of parents had more knowledge with the rest due to various factors, educational level, socio-cultural, it said it was necessary to make an educational intervention for parents of children with intellectual disabilities.
It made the proposal of educational intervention that consisted of two talks, which were addressed to parents during the month of October, which addressed the main theme of intellectual disability stating his opinion, the causes, treatment, and prevention. Furthermore the approach to be taken against parents who have their cognitive problem children. Also practices. At the end of handed a leaflet with all the information.
In November-December 2009, the second survey was conducted (Poscaps), and proceeded to the comparison between the first and second survey, to tabulate the data we observed that the knowledge, attitudes and practices improved after the educational intervention performed.

BACKGROUND
Children development follows a pattern which reflects an appropriate progress or a "deflection" which can be caused by several factors. Such is the case of malnutrition a problem that occurs frequently in childhood, this disease can lead problems of learning, attention, memory and school performance; because the body does not have enough energy requirements to accomplish necessary processes in children’s growth and development.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To determine the psychomotor development quotient in children from the age of 4 months to 5 years, with malnutrition in Vicente Corral Moscoso and Homero Castanier Crespo Hospitals.
METHODOLOGY
A Descriptive cross-sectional study, through direct evaluation to children from 4 months to 5 years old, with malnutrition at Hospitals Vicente Corral Moscoso and Homero Castanier, by the Brunet Lezine Test. Results have been analyzed with central tendency measures, percentages and frequency. We used IBM SPSS Statistics 22 free version.
RESULTS
This study showed that children from 4 months to 5 years old, who had a diagnosis of chronic malnutrition presented a psychomotor development within the mean that corresponds to 42.5% of all the children evaluated; while 17.5% had a retardation in their psychomotor development. The 18.8% of children with malnutrition of moderate degree had a psychomotor development within the average and the 1.3% had a developmental delay As well the 17.5% of children with malnutrition of mild degree had a psychomotor development within the mean and the 2.5% had a psychomotor development retardation.

The hospitalization of a newborn creates a psychological impact on mothers due to the interruption of the mother-child bond. It distorts the parents’ expectations of having a healthy child, includes stress, anxiety and even depression. The role of the Early Stimulator in this process is to help parents create this bond.
Objective:
To identify the level of stress of mothers with children hospitalized in the neonatal area of the Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo, 2022.
Methodology:
Observational, descriptive and prospective study, with a sample of 121 mothers with children hospitalized in Neonatology, to whom were applied the forum of date recollection and the Parental Stress Scale: Neonatal Intensive Care unit. Processing the data in the following programs: IBM SPSS version 25 Spanish, Microsoft Excel 2019, calculating: mean, mode, median and standard deviation.
Results:
Of the population studied, 52, 1% of the mothers were between 18-26 years old, the 38, 8% live in a free union. Mothers with an education at high school level make up 3%, 60. In general, 62% of the mothers present a serious level of stress.
Conclusions:
The mother who presents the greatest stress are those who live in a consensual union, being the mothers between 22-26 years old with more stress, having a level of education mostly of high school, predominating the level of serious stress in the study.

Background
During the first years of life, the evaluation of neurodevelopment is essential, if it detects early warning signs, these can be approached and intervened on time, for this reason, in this investigation, a screening evaluation was carried out on children under the age of 5 years at the “Centro de Salud de Paute”, where a level of development was categorized as: normal, delayed development and risk of delayed development.
Objective
To determine the neurodevelopmental problems in children under 5 years of age at the “Centro de Salud de Paute”.
Methodology
This research is prospective, descriptive, and quantitative. The study population was boys and girls under 5 years of age from “Centro de Salud de Paute”. For the established plan, the SPSS program in Spanish will be used to process, analyze and interpret the data obtained. For the statistical analysis of the qualitative variables, frequencies, percentages were used, and for the quantitative variables the measures of central tendency: mean, median, mode. These results will be presented using statistical tables and graphs in the Microsoft Excel 2016 program.
Results: The study was carried out with a sample of 52 boys and girls, of which 56% correspond to the male sex and 44% to the female sex, according to the results of the Child Development Evaluation Test "EDI", the 44, 2% have a delay in development or yellow, 40.4% have a normal development or green, and finally 15.4% have a risk of delay in development or red. In biological risk factors, we found a higher frequency in male with a risk of delayed development and delayed development, with a higher prevalence in Hospitalization of the child in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or before of the first month of life with a duration of more than four days, corresponding to 13.5% with a delay indevelopment and 11.5% in the risk of delay in development.

The objective of the study was to determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices on psychomotor development aimed at mothers of children under one year of age who attend the Early Stimulation Area of the Pablo Jaramillo Crespo Foundation.
It is a quasi-experimental research, through the design of a single control group consisting of 66 mothers with pre-caps and post-caps.
An initial survey (pre-caps) was applied to assess the knowledge, attitudes and practices of mothers on psychomotor development of children under a year old. With the final result of the first survey a workshop and training instructional guide on psychomotor development linking early stimulation , it concluded the same one performed post-caps designed. To measure the results.
For a description of the qualitative variables frequency and percentage was calculated for quantitative analysis and the mean, standard deviation, variance and T Student was used. After the educational intervention there is a significant difference in the mean of knowledge, attitudes and practices of mothers before surgery (51.8 %) and after the intervention (84.2 %). Therefore we conclude that educational intervention modify knowledge, attitudes and practices of mothers, because the value of the test (p = 0.00 which is < p = 0.05).

Background: Psychomotor development is a mainstay for learning, intellectual development and maturity of the nervous system. If a child receives an adequate early intervention, developmental delays are avoided and it contributes to the acquisition of important development milestones that will serve the child for an adequate and independent skill (1).
General Objective: Establish the incidence of delayed psychomotor development by applying the Battelle Developmental Inventory to children from special care centers. Cuenca, 2016.
Methodology: The present study is descriptive-prospective, which has as a universe all children from 0 to 5 years attending 5 different special care centers in Cuenca, for which the authorization of the directors was obtained and informed assent was presented to each of the representatives of the children, who were free to decide if their children would participate in this investigation. Battelle Development Inventory was applied as an instrument, that evaluates five areas of psychomotor development: personal/social, adaptive, motor, communication and cognitive.
The software for data analysis and tabulation were: SPSS, Microsoft Excel 2013 and Microsoft Word 2013.
Results: The results helped us to have a global approach of children’s psychomotor development. 70.5% of children evaluated had developmental delays, the most frequent type of disability was intellectual disability and the center with the greatest developmental delay was CEDIUC

The objective was to assess develop a working guide for the development of basic concepts in the first and second years of basic education Educational Units "Daniel Munoz", "Corazon of Maria" and "Heroes of Verdeloma" from application of test Boehm.
The results were as follows: there is a predominance of, although the difference is not greater with women. The distribution of success and failure in mastering the basics are distributed proportionally similar for both men and women. Shared Notions space categories, quantity, and time, had a greater number of errors.
Based on the results we constructed a tutorial from the game that was applied for three months, after which, the concepts identified were those who had a better response from the kids.
The category other showed a major difficulty for children in the notion "Making Romance", after the intervention persisted a high level of errors.
There is a significant percentage of ignorance of the basics; it does provide difficulties in the teaching-learning process with problems for children, and for teachers

BACKGROUND
Psychomotor development is an evolutionary process; in which child acquires skills and abilities throughout their growth.
The evaluation of psychomotor development in children 0 to 5 years is paramount; however; Margalida Coll Andreu, in the XII International Congress of educational theory indicates that there is greater neural plasticity in children younger than 24 months; so it is more important to an assessment at this stage and thus to detect problems or difficulties in the psychomotor development, for appropriate intervention.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Set the age of psychomotor development in children from 4 to 24 months using the Baby Test Brunet Lezine in the area of pediatrics of Health Center #2.
METHODOLOGY
Descriptive, quantitative study; evaluation of psychomotor development was carried out on children aged 4 to 24 months, who attended pediatric consultation at the Health Center #2, through the Baby Brunet Lezine. The results were tabulated with the IBM SPSS version 25 statistical program.
RESULTS
A sample of 98 boys and girls was handled, of which 49% belong to the female gender and 51% to the male gender. The research showed that 17.3% had a developmental age higher than chronological age, 5.1% according to chronological age and 77.6% lower than chronological age.

BACKGROUND: Inclusion is the process of identifying and responding to the needs of all children and involves changes and modifications in contents and strategies. The term Inclusion emerged in the 90's decade, being a time where recognizes the rights of persons with disabilities. Inclusion means that all children need to be included in the educational and social life. A school to give a suitable answer to the needs of their students must perform new and innovative pedagogical proposals to stimulate the involvement of all.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Capacitate about inclusion of disabilities to parents of the Infantile Center “Travesuras” of the city of Cuenca.
METHODOLOGY: A study of quasi-experimental type was done from April to June 2015. The study was realized with 57 parents of the Infantile Center "Travesuras" in the city of Cuenca through the application a pre-caps to evaluate the knowledge they had about disability inclusion. This present was a descriptive quasi-experimental research, was done in the high school Unidad Educativa “Julio Maria Matovelle” in Paute, with a purpose: To explore the acquired knowledgment about sexuality:
CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS, PREGNANCY during ADOLESCENCE as a RISK FACT for the DISABILITIES. In a group of 130 students, where we´ve seen the characteristics of investigated population as: 9th and 10th grade students, 1st and 2nd of bachelor, most of them live in the urban place from Paute.
We applied a precaps test to determine knowledge of teenagers about this theme, it was found that 50% of teenagers didn´t know about pubertal changes, in addition a 89.20% said that the most common cause that can produce the disability is the consumption to alcohol, snuff and drugs, but at 90.8% reported knowing the meaning of a disability, then increased to 96.9%.
We've seen that there is a lack of contraceptive methods information, risks of teen pregnancy and sex education.
We made some educational workshops to apply post caps tests, post-intervention knowledge level rose to 85.4% in terms of pubertal changes.
Meanwhile we did a module about the topics that we taught, and it was given to the high school where we did the present research.
The objective is to increase the level of knowledgment, to clear some doubts and to motivate the interest on those topics that we have taught. So it´s a need to do some actions focusing on the family, society and community to prevent disabilities and get a better way of life.

The first years of life are fundamental as they help establish the foundations for adequate development, during this time the child is exposed to a great number of stimuli which influence their development, whether it is positive or negative. For this reason, it is important to detect any changes in development and risk factors early in life. Due to this, our study will utilize the “Libro Clínico ‘Atención Integrada a las Enfermedades Prevalentes de la Infancia’ (2016), to accurately evaluate children between 2 months and 5 years of age who attend the “Centro de Salud ‘El Valle’.”
OBJECTIVE:
To determine the level of development in children between the ages of 2 months and 5 years, who attend the “Centro de Salud ‘El Valle’.”
METHODOLOGY:
This study is quantitative descriptive and of prospective character. The study was on children between the ages of 2 months and 5 years who attend the “Centro de Salud ‘El Valle’” located in the canton of Cuenca, from February to August of the year 2019.
The development of the children was evaluated based on the criteria established in the book “Libro Clínico: Atención Integrada a las Enfermedades Prevalentes de la Infancia: ‘AIEPI’.”
The programs SPSS and Microsoft Excel were used for the data collection and analysis of data.
RESULTS:
The study had a sample size of 100 (N=100) of which 63.0% were male and 37.0% were female. According to the results utilizing the book “Libro Clínico Atención Integrada a las Enfermedades Prevalentes de la Infancia: ‘AIEPI’,” 5.0% showed normal development, 22.0% showed normal development with some risk factors, 40.0% showed problematic risks in development, this was the highest percentage from the acquired sample, finally 33.0% showed the likelihood of delayed development. The “problems when giving birth” are the predominant risk factors in our study with 25.4%.

BACKGROUND: The development of the infant in its early years is determined by internal and
external factors, which will allow its expression or modify them, due to this a thorough assessment
of the newborn is essential, detecting early agents that can influence the full development of the
child. In this study, the Clinical Book of "Integrated Attention to Prevalent Childhood Diseases"
(IAPCD 2016) will be used, a comprehensive tool aimed at preserving health and reducing
morbidity and mortality in children under 5 years of age, for which it integrates components of
social, community and clinical integration.
OBJECTIVE: Identify the incidence of risk factors for newborns at the Hospital "San Juan de
Dios".
METHODOLOGY: Study is of a descriptive cross-sectional quantitative modality. The study
population was newborns from the San Juan de Dios Hospital. For the analysis and interpretation
of the data, the IBM program, SPSS was used. The qualitative variables will be expressed in
percentages and frequencies, which will be presented in statistical tables and graphs, while for
quantitative data measures of central tendency will be used: mean, median and mode. The results
are presented using the Microsoft Excel 2016 program through statistical tables and graphs.
RESULTS: In a sample of 80 neonates, 55% were male and 45% female. 94% of the population
was born weighing more than 2,500 grams; adequate, followed by 6% with a weight of 1,500-
2,499 g and none were born with a weight between the range of 1.00-1.499. 94% of the neonates
did not require resuscitation and 6% did require resuscitation. 90% of the newborns were born at
term; between 37-41 weeks, 8% were preterm births; <37 weeks and 3% were born after 41 weeks,
post-term. Regarding congenital anomalies, 93% did not present any type of anomalies and 1%
was obtained for each of the following pathologies: hyperbilirubinemia, jaundice, Down
syndrome, imperforate anus and necrotizing enterocolitis.

BACKGROUND: During the first five years of life, the different forms of movement in boys and girls allows them to interact with their environment and learn from it, that is why the evaluation of visual-motor reality is fundamental for the early identification of alterations in motor graph development, which indirectly indicates the biopsychosocial and learning process by which the child is going through.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the visomotor maturation levels in children of 5 years of the Educational Unit "Emilio Abad", Azogues 2018.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Descriptive observational study, carried out with 121 infants from the Emilio Abad School Azogues. After signing the consent to the parents, the Bender Visomotora Gestalt examination was applied, the tabulation and the analysis of the information was carried out in the statistical package SPSS version 22; the variables studied were: visual motor maturation, age, gender, parental instruction, type of family, previous education, emotional state, and residence.
RESULTS: The average age of the children is 5 years 7 months, masculine gender with 58.7%, 60.3% went to initial 1 and 2, 76% of children reside in the urban sector, 46, 2% of parents have secondary education, 53.7% of families are nuclear. 86.2% of children have a level of visuomotor maturation "lower for their age", with an average delay of 10.8 months. Visomotor maturation "lower for age" was more frequent in children who attended initial 2, male gender and parents with primary education. The most frequent emotional state was the "confusing order" with 82.6%.
Conclusions: The visuomotor maturation of the children of 5 years of the Educational Unit "Emilio Abad", lower child for his age

ANTECEDENTS: The psychomotor problems are of constant frequency and great impact for the family and the society, these can be transitory, but also, they can be cause of permanent disability, for that reason the early detection is fundamental. The use of the Preschool Psychomotor Evaluation scale allows us to determine if there is a low, normal or high psychomotor profile which contributes to a later intervention if necessary. OBJECTIVE: Determine the psychomotor profile in children from 3 to 5 years old of the Leoncio Cordero Jaramillo School by means of the Preschool Psychomotor Evaluation scale. METHODOLOGY: The proposed descriptive, prospective study was developed in the Leoncio Cordero Jaramillo School located in the city of Cuenca, in a population of 81 children. The collection procedure was from a primary source through the application of the Preschool Psychomotor Evaluation scale and the data collection form. For its statistical analysis the program SPSS 23.0 was used, for the variables descriptive statistics with frequencies and percentages were used, the data were expressed in tables.RESULTSThe good psychomotor profile was the predominant result in the areas of locomotion with 97.5%; positions 88.9%; balance 88.9%; leg coordination 91.4%; body scheme in other 72.8%; while in the areas of arm coordination with 48.1% and hand coordination with 49.4%; theyobtained their results in the good and normal profiles simultaneously. Only body schema itself has 49.4% in the normal psychomotor profile.

Functional domains are very important in the development of people because they reflect their level of autonomy and ability to function in a given environment, even more so in people with disabilities who need constant supervision from another person. Knowing how important it is for the performance in the environment, we conclude in executing a research study through the "PEDICAT" scale in the Special Educational Unit ADINEA and CEDIN DOWN.
OBJECTIVE
To evaluate the functional domains in boys and girls of the ADINEA and CEDIN DOWN Special Educational Unit through the ´´PEDICAT´´ Scale.
METHODOLOGY
This research work was a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional study that was developed in the Special Education Unit ADINEA and CEDIN DOWN, through the application of the ''PEDICAT'' Scale.
For the analysis and tabulation of the data obtained, the IBM SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 23) was used, which is a set of programs aimed at performing statistical analysis. Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft Word 2016 were used to make the tables and graphs, making statistical tables of frequency and percentages to all the data provided by the research. Children between 0 and 12 years old were evaluated; quantitative data were also analyzed using measures of central tendency: mean, median, and mode.
RESULTS
The sample was made up of 40 children from the Special Education Units. As a result, 60% of the children in the functional areas were dependent on Daily Activities (24 children), 57% were dependent on Mobility (23 children), 90% were dependent on Social Cognitive (36 children) and 37% were dependent on Responsibility (15 children). The age range with the highest dependence in the functional domains is in the group of 10 to 12 years old.

Background.
It talks about abnormal anxiety when the time and level of presence has excided, caused by unexpected changes such as the hospitalization of their newborn child in the neonatology area, hospitalization is a very strong situation that not only affects the child, but also the parents and their family since the idea of the healthy child has been destroyed. This adverse situation in contrary to the desired one produces a series of reactions that can lead to an anxiety state, it mostly depends on how each one of them faces it, those who do not have an adequate management of the situation could worsen their condition and it would not only affect the parents, but the child and all health personnel.
Objective. Determine the level of anxiety in parents of neonates hospitalized in neonatology of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, During May-October 2017 cycle.
Methology. Descriptive prospective cross-sectional study by the individual application of the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HARS) to parents of neonates hospitalized in neonatology of the Vicente Corral Moscoso hospital. The results will be analyzed with percentages, through the SPSS program, free version 23. The results will be presented by tables.
Use of results. The results will be used as information for future research for teachers, students and health personnel in general. This study will be available in the library of the University of Cuenca.

BACKGROUND: Psychomotor development is of great importance, because it
allows the correct deployment of skills in the areas of cognition, motor skills,
language, social and self-help, acquired in children during early childhood.
Regarding the delay in psychomotor, it considered a gap in the acquisition of skills,
departing significantly from what is expected for the age, either in a single area or at
a global level. In the present study, the Batelle Development Inventory was applied,
which evaluates abilities and skills of children from 0 to 8 years of age, allowing to
obtaining the development age, strengths and weaknesses of the different areas.
OBJECTIVE: To determine the psychomotor development of boys and girls from 1
to 3 years of age in the “Centro Infantil del Buen Vivir Emblemático Chordeleg”.
METHODOLOGY: The present study was prospective descriptive quantitative. The
study population was all the boys and girls who regularly attend the “Centro Infantil
del Buen Vivir Emblemático Chordeleg”, applying the “Battelle Development
Inventory”.
To carry out the analysis and tabulation of data, the SPSS 22 free version, Microsoft
Excel 2013 and Microsoft Word 2013 programs were used; for the descriptive
statistical analysis, frequencies and percentages; simple and double entry tables
were used according to variables.
RESULTS: The analyzed population was 81 boys and girls, obtaining the following
data as a result, the area with weak points is the motor area with 45.7%, on the other
hand, the area with strong points is the adaptive area with 29.6% according to the
Battelle Development Inventory. The results obtained were used to determine the
level of development of the children; the information was used exclusively for
research.

The development of infants during the first years of life is important because solid
bases are defined for an adequate subsequent development, behavior is one of the
important elements within development being sometimes difficult to distinguish a
normal behavior from a pathological one, for this it is important to know the type of
behavior to determine if it is appropriate or not; without ignoring that this can vary
according to their development, temperament and behavior which must be
understood by their parents in order to interpret, adapt, accept or modify behavior,
for these reasons it is intended to carry out the research project to parents or
caregivers of children from 2 to 5 years of age of the Educational Unit "El Pan" and
CDI "El Paraíso", of the canton el Pan, through the application the Eyberg Scale.
OBJECTIVE:
To assess the behavior of children from 2 to 5 years of age of the Educational Unit
"El Pan and CDI "El Paraíso" from canton El Pan
METHODOLOGY:
The data obtained will be collected in Microsoft Excel 2016 and will determine the
relationship using the IBM SPSS version 22 statistical program. The analysis of
quantitative variables will be carried out through measures of mean, median and
fashion central tendency and qualitative variables through frequency and percentage
tables.
RESULTS:
Of the total of 67 children evaluated, it is observed in behavior and age that 5-yearold children are the ones who present a behavioral alteration with 10.45%; In terms
of behavior and sex, boys present behavior alteration with 16.42%, being the male
sex more likely to present behavior alteration than girls; in the socioeconomic level
and behavior it is found that children belonging to families with a low socioeconomic
level with behavior alteration 13.43%; and in relation to the behavior and type of
family in the present study, it was obtained that children from a nuclear family present
behavioral alteration with 22.38%.
CONCLUSION:
After analyzing all the information collected, it is concluded that despite the fact that
most of the children evaluated in the El Pan Educational Unit and CDI El Paraiso,
high percentages were obtained within normal parameters, after analyzing the
factors: sex, age, socioeconomic level and type of family, it is observed how these
have a great influence on the behavior of children, being 10.45% who present
behavioral risk and 31.34% present behavioral alteration.

Background: Functional motor capacity is one of the abilities that allows human beings to perform movement activities, an inherent quality of people's daily life. Children with Down syndrome, due to their condition, face difficulties since their muscle tone usually decreases, which affects their motor function. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the boys and girls who attend Cedin Down Center and Cuenca Specialized Rehabilitation Center No. 5, using the GROSS MOTOR FUNCTION MEASURE (GMFM-SP) instrument. Objective: To determine the level of gross motor function in children ages O to 5 years with Down syndrome who attend Cedin Down Center and Cuenca Specialized Rehabilitation Center NO. 5, Cuenca 2023 Methods: This is a quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive study, with a sample of 50 boys and girls; data was processed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 and Microsoft Excel 2019 software. Results: Of the population studied, 8% is in level I; 58% in level Il; 26% in level lll, and 8% in level IV. The level with the highest frequency is level Il (58%). Conclusions: Children under 6 years of age in the aforementioned centers are in motor level II (walks with limitations), with a higher prevalence in males aged 37-48 months.
