The following essay focuses interest on an overview about Objective Duty of Care, Guilt as an element of guiltiness, historical background, evolution and development of Criminal Science and the various ways in which they may arise.
The dynamic development and progress of society, fated and immersed into unavoidable scientific and technological advances, promoters in all kinds of social living, requiring permanent change and updating, to which the law, legal system and other laws that regulate certain situations and actions of social life, can be found apart. In this context a regulatory framework, the duty of care, the defense of justice, legal systems, the trust given by the people so that their legal rights are not violated, including the self-responsability of the victim and the permitted risk, whose generating responsibility of any law, regulation or rule as we know, restsin the legislature and administration in the different instances of the judicial power.
But as we are all obligated to contribute, there has been the reason to raise contribution to the Ecuadorian Criminal Justice System; create and adapt offenses that sanction actions, or omissions that harm protected rights with appropriate sanctions, if they produce and put them in danger; aware that in a society without laws, a person without contributions are sterile entities and are unrelated to the imperative future.

Historically, women have organized themselves in search of freedom and the empowerment
of their role within a society in which men have always been the ones who have achieved labor and
economic success, while women depended on the livelihood they could provide. One characteristic
of the big cities is that women have the possibility of studying and working in public and private
positions, exercising their own professions or starting a business, the situation of women living in
rural areas is different.
In the parish of Susudel, Canton Oña, province of Azuay, there is an association of weavers
called "Hatún Cóndor". This association was created as an initiative so that women from the parish,
most of whom work as housewives and also in agriculture, due to their low or non-existent level of
schooling, can obtain their own economic income for themselves and their families.
Through this research, it was found that these women have not been able to have their work
considered as part of the production of handicrafts that strengthen the national economy and there
are few similar associations that have achieved this recognition.
The main causes are the lack of leadership within the association itself and the lack of support
from local, canton and provincial authorities. Thanks to the development of the strengthening
agenda, it was possible to corroborate that, through proper promotion and the insertion of the
association within the social networks, it is possible to manage technical and material support that
the women have stated they need

This research analyzes the sexual division of labor in the taxpayers of the “Régimen Impositivo Simplificado Ecuatoriano (RISE)” in the city of Cuenca in order to determine the existence of relations between the roles assigned to the female and male gender, and the economic activities carried out by the taxpayers of this simplified tax system. In addition, a literary revision of the existing theories explaining this phenomenon in the labor market was made, as well as the constitution of the RISE, its structure and the relationship with the informal labor market. The data was obtained from the Internal Revenue Service for the period 2011 - 2014 for the city of Cuenca. The observations were subjected to a descriptive statistical analysis in the time series and with a cross-section to 2014. The results obtained show that the economic activities developed by the women are based on the domestic tasks and care imposed by the patriarchal system. Men also follow this trend through activities that show their provider role.

The present work generated an analysis of qualitative data making use of categories that
contemplate the dimensions of the right to the city exercised by the informal/autonomous
workers of the in downtown Cuenca Ecuador (the historic area of the city). A rich discussion
was generated regarding urban exclusion and the notions of citizenship and heritage.
Concluding that the needs of this specific group are not being addressed in a timely manner
by the local administration and recognizing the possibility that a new opportunity to generate
effective policies arises due to a regulatory advance in Ecuador.

The present work was carried out in the central campus of the University of Cuenca, with the
objective of knowing and analyzing from the gender perspective the perceptions that the
students of the sixth and eighth cycle of the Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sport on sexgeneric diversities, during the period March-August 2022. It was taken into account that the
central problem was based on the little information that teachers and authorities of educational
institutions have about sex-generic diversities and inadequate intervention in situations of
discrimination faced by gender-sex diversities and the invisibility of this population. In this
study, the methodology had a qualitative approach, for which semi- structured interviews were
conducted that allowed collecting specific information on the subject, the sample consisted of
10 students, who are in training as teachers. In the same way, within the perceptions of the
students interviewed, the lack of knowledge on gender issues and therefore of gender-sex
diversities was determined. In addition, the influence of social prejudices on their perceptions
was shown. Their awareness of the existence of situations of discrimination against the
LGBTIQ+ population within educational institutions was evidenced, however, there was a lack
of knowledge of the correct ways to intervene andapply gender issues in their Physical
Education classes. They generally agreed that these problems must be eradicated and
recognized that even though they have a subject that deals with equality and diversity, it
focuses only on people with disabilities, therefore, they understood the importance of including
the gender approach more thoroughly within their training, in order to generate more inclusive
classes.

Paternidad
The limited time fathers have in exercising their co-responsible paternity constituted the central
problem of the research since fathers participate actively in the work environment. This problem encouraged the research on the presence of other paternities in two educational institutions.
Additionally, the mothers' experiences as representatives were considered as a complement to
the project. Therefore, the general objective was to characterize the other paternities performed
by parents representing their children in a public educational institution and a public/religious
educational institution in Cuenca during the academic year 2022-2023. In the methodology, a
participatory diagnosis was applied through focus group techniques and a workshop to
characterize the different experiences of the subject population of the study. In these spaces, they shared their thoughts and opinions, which allowed the joint construction of strategies that could balance their work with the exercise of their parenthood. Therefore, within the significant findings, fathers presented characteristics of a hegemonic patriarchal imposition, demonstrating a lack of knowledge about how to reprimand their children. Likewise, according to the gender roles established by cultural conceptions and sexual division, most participants considered that such domestic and care activities were done as a way to help and developed mainly by the mother.

This study analyzes from a gender perspective the influence that mothers of children
with cerebral palsy have on individual, family, work, economic aspects and on the exercise
of rights, taking into account the way in which care has been thought of as part of women's
duty, the assignment of which is configured as a barrier to achieving gender equality.
Based on the voices of women who are mothers of children with disabilities, the
study presents a diversity of realities that allow us to understand how the imaginaries
surrounding disability and care generate adverse scenarios, showing how the low
responsibility of society, the community and the State in terms of care affects women's
ability to achieve autonomy, which is key to improving their living conditions.
Gender equality is an issue to achieve for societies, essential to improve living
conditions, eliminate gaps and inequalities, product of the sexual division of labor that will
give new guidelines to change the established roles, being fundamental to improve people's
living conditions

This work analyzes a modality in the provision of comprehensive health services to chronic
patients and informal caregivers from the perspective of the feminist economy based on an ethic
of care.
It is evaluated as the Centers of Medical Excellence, and it has concentrated its effort on improving
health care based on research, innovation, and development, adapting economic processes in a
specific context of a utilitarian ethic that is shown as insufficient.
This work identifies the care needs of chronic patients and their informal caregivers; this is
presented as a timely guarantee of the right to health, representing support from the socialization
and revaluation of care work as a socio-cognitive intervention that improves the level of adherence
and satisfaction of the patient as well as the well-being of their informal caregivers.
For this, the development of self-care skills, and their autonomy, is presented as an alternative
through the sustained promotion of educational interference in the patient and his/her informal
caregivers.
The observation of these realities has been carried out from the feminist and gender perspectives,
with the possibility of increasing the possibilities of a system designed from care, focusing on the
quality of life of those who suffer from the disease and those who care as a stabilizing pillar for
the sustainability of life.

Older adults are often excluded from society, making decisions that leave their opinions
aside. Aging does not occur in a homogeneous or linear way; a large part of this
population group is in a situation of vulnerability. Likewise, the different conceptions held
by older adults are linked by their intersectionality and the influence generated by gender
roles, since these generate conceptions linked to specific needs and interests generated
by a patriarchal society, such as in the case of men the importance of the economic
sphere in their lives so that it is considered dignified, and on the other hand, the
imposition of women to the private sphere, marking and naturalizing certain actions and
beliefs. Thus, the objective of this study was "To know the perspective through the
conceptions and attitudes that older adults have about dignified life, dignified death and
euthanasia". To achieve this objective, a situational diagnosis was used in the Elderly
Care Center of Social Action and the University for the Elderly (UPAM) located in the city
of Cuenca. It is worth mentioning that a mixed methodology was applied where surveys
and focus groups were used.

General High School and Technical High School of the afternoon session, in addition, 4
interviews were conducted with students identified as aggressors by the DECE of the
institution, it is important to note that most of the data collection is quantitative. The main
results are: the types of bullying that occur in the Unidad Educativa Dolores J. Torres are
psychological bullying with 46.61%, continuous cyberbullying with 20.87%, finally, physical
bullying with 19.13%. In relation to the aggressors, the interviewees considered these actions
as normal and did not consider themselves as aggressors, also these actions are carried out
when there is no teacher or authority of the institution present, finally, in the relationship by

The purpose of the research is to identify the work environment and its relationship with work
performance in a supermarket company in the city of Cuenca from an intersectionalperspective,
since this allows a different approach to the studies previously conducted. For this purpose, a
quantitative methodology was used through the application of a survey to the workers of the
branches within the city of Cuenca. The scope of the researchis descriptive and correlational,
and it is a non-experimental research. Descriptivestatistical analysis techniques (frequency
and contingency tables) and inferential statistics (relational analysis) were applied. Regarding
the conclusions, the data obtained in the study allow corroborating the startinghypothesis that
in women there is a greater relationship between the work environment and work performance
within the company, a higher percentage in relation to men, this has been made visible thanks
to the intersectional approach of the study since it allows disaggregating the information by
different variables such as sex. It has also demonstrated the importance of implementing
policies with a gender approach because it allows us to eliminate latent gaps that are caused
by generalizing the needs of employees.

Early childhood education corresponds a key moment in the subjects’ socialization, due
its relation with their pathways. As a result of this, the present research aims to analyse
the public politic “Currículo Educación Inicial 2014” in Ecuador’s “Revolución
ciudadana” period politic context and in the marc of “Plan Deceneal De Educación 2006-
2015”, with the premise of understand which is the connection between the “Revolución
Ciudadana’s” public project and educational project, as well as its early childhood
educational intentions.
This approach towards educational Ecuadorian reality seeks to complex the speech of
early Ecuadorian childhood’s context structure, along with the conception of education
as a human right. On the fringes of diversity, opposed to hegemonized economic
transnational organisms’ recommendation recipes and its patriarchal system sustainment
repercussions. We observe that the political subject of this public policy, far from
constituting the diversity itself, denotes the neoliberal’s social paradigm hegemony. Thus,
it is not established aiming to answer the early childhood development but, in the other
hand sustain the ideological hegemony norm conceived in the colonial patriarchy and the
critical sense neoliberalism co-optation

Cantón Cuenca
This research was conducted at the Benjamín Ramírez Arteaga Educational Unit located in the sector of the Feria Libre, in the parish of El Batán, in the canton of Cuenca, province of Azuay, in order to know the level of management of the gender perspective in the co-education processes applied by the teachers of the Secondary School of this institution; For this purpose, a qualitative methodology was applied based on interviews and classroom observations that allowed us to collect data to extract more in-depth knowledge of the subject.
It can also be said that the application of coeducation strategies is not completely carried out within the educational process, due to the fact that some teachers do not know what the strategies are and how they should be implemented to avoid discrimination and gender role stereotypes. In relation to the individual differences of the students, the educators try to attend according to the realities, needs and interests of the students, although they recognize that it is quite difficult due to the administrative burden that they must also carry out. Finally, teachers understand that it is necessary to be trained in the use and management of coeducation strategies in order to be able to carry out teaching processes free of stereotypes and discrimination, so that students can develop freely and have equal opportunities.

This research work was carried out with the purpose of "Analyzing the socioeconomic and cultural
factors and their incidence in the processes of educational virtuality experienced by the
adolescents of the San Pedro community, in the rural parish of El Valle (Cuenca canton), during
the 2020-2021 school period, for which a qualitative methodology was applied with a
phenomenological method. Likewise, to obtain the information, the semi-structured interview
technique was used on a sample made up of 14 people, including 6 adolescents who belong to
the stages of early, middle and late adolescence; their legal representatives and two teachers
from the San Pedro community.
In the results of the research, it was identified that socioeconomic and cultural factors affected the
level of teaching-learning and school permanence of adolescents, since virtual education requires
adequate resources such as time, spaces, electronic devices, knowledge or experience. in the
use of technology and, on the other hand, the equal assessment of both sexes in terms of their
right to education, since education is a fundamental right for human beings, which allows the
development of capacities. The lack of any of these resources and the internalization of
stereotyped behaviors towards women and men are what generate apathy and school dropout in
adolescents.

The gender approach reflects on how the relationships between the masculine and
the feminine are oriented in the social, personal, political and family entorne. This
investigation attempts to identify if there are changes in the way in which adolescents
between the ages of 16 and 17 are viewed, defined and related within zone 6, District
01D02 of the Baños, Cuenca, Province of Azuay, under the following research question:
Is there a perception of the influence of feminist discourse that may have marked the
changes that have occurred in the management of Human Rights, the use of the body,
freedom of expression and the co-responsibility in adolescents from 16 to 17 years old?
To answer this question, a mixed research process has been generated through a
survey with adolescents and a results discussion group with experts. The first process
shows that inequality and its conditions limit the ability to establish healthy relationships
and sharpen dual behaviors that can be naturalized and conceived as their own and
accepted.
The results obtained in this research show that there is an impact on the female
population that looks their professional and intellectual opportunities modified and valued;
likewise, it is evident that there is a positive impact on sexual identification and the
elimination of gender stereotypes.
The lack of knowledge about equity, the processes of coexistence and healthy
dialogues with their parents and the sensitivity to processes of change that have modified
the male population, are issues that must be worked on. In the same way, introduce
historical processes in the academy regarding knowledge and awareness of feminist
struggles to reduce the breakdown of equals in order to rebuild their life plans to ones that
are more supportive and solid with the environment.

It starts from the conceptualization of the disability, particularly the intellectual that plays the role of reference in the development of all research. Then, the study of sexuality, freedom, sexual behaviors and the implications of sexual health for people with disabilities is addressed.
The gender category is fundamental in the development of the analysis and the proposal of the assistance to the pleasure, reason why the development of the relation of gender, the care, the autonomy and the sexuality are approached in depth.
The legal framework attaches importance to the analysis of the standard in relation to sexual abuse and disability. It seeks to identify the imaginary and perceptions about the right to sexual health and assisted pleasure, through semi-structured interviews with caregivers of people with disabilities, as well as specialists related to the issue. The information raised, lays the foundation for a proposal to contribute to the right to sexual health and the possibility of assisted sexuality.

The present research entitled " Immigration Processes Analysis with a Gender Perspective of
Indigenous Families of the Puruhá People of the Parish Luis Cordero in the Canton of Azogues
Year 2023- 2024", has the general objective of making visible the immigration process with a
gender perspective of indigenous families of the Puruhá people. Therefore, through dialogue,
we obtained the collaboration of ten families with a large number of members belonging to the
Puruhá people, who immigrated from Chimborazo to the parish of the canton of Azogues.
These families provided us with important information for the development of our research, for
which we used the ethnographic method. In order to make this research reliable, we worked
through a qualitative analysis, using focus groups, in-depth interviews and life histories, since,
in this way, we learned about the different perspectives that the participants have on the
subject. For this purpose, questions related to inequality, discrimination and their immigration
process, among other topics, were asked. This research has the necessary concepts and data
related to the results obtained, so the main findings are the factors that influenced the decision
to move in search of new opportunities, reflecting the loss of culture, customs, clothing and
language of the new generations, within the indigenous families of the Puruhá people
participating in this research.

Roles
This research addresses the issue of care work and triple role in student mothers at the University
of Cuenca. The research was conducted throughout the central campus. The main objective is to
analyze the care work and triple role assumed by the student mothers of the University of Cuenca
in the Central Campus, in the period September 2022- February 2023. In turn, the research
question is: What is the context in which the student mothers of the University of Cuenca "Central
Campus" develop care work from the perspective of the triple role, in the period September 2022-
February 2023?
To develop the research, the mixed research approach was used to identify the different activities
that student mothers develop in the reproductive, productive, community, and academic activities.
In addition to identifying the strategies, they use to reconcile academic activities with caregiving
tasks, from the perspective of feminist economics and care and propose guidelines that respond
to the needs of student mothers at the University of Cuenca, from a gender perspective. As a
main result, the student mothers count on the fundamental support of their mothers as support
networks to be able to develop their academic activities. In addition, it was identified that the
student mothers are the ones who take responsibility for all the welfare of their daughters, putting
their own before theirs.

The objective of the research work was to know the perceptions of the students who study Civil
Engineering at the State University of Cuenca regarding LGBTI people in the period September
2022 - February 2023. Therefore, the perspectives of knowledge, perceptions, attitudes and
practices were taken in order to perform the respective analysis of results. Thus, the research
approach was bimodal based on a study with a predominance of the qualitative approach, where
the identification of social and gender knowledge was sought, so an interview was applied to the
student population, determined by five men and five women, resulting in 10 semi-structured
interviews to a sample of 10 students under criteria of sex and level of education.
It is concluded that the attitudes of the students of the Civil Engineering career is to act with
respect and normality before a person of this community, since they consider that there is
complete freedom for someone to identify with the sexual orientation of their choice. However, in
relation to their perceptions about the fulfillment of their rights, access to spaces, they state that
the current social structure, despite the advances in rights issues, still persist situations of violation
of rights related to processes of discrimination, exclusion that members of this community live
and that are the result of an androcentric and patriarchal social structure that reproduces sexist
manifestations linked to sexual dichotomism.

El enfoque de género en las políticas del Plan Nacional de Movilidad Humana Ecuador 2018. Impacto en la migración venezolana ante la emergencia socio-sanitaria por COVID-19

The response of the Ecuadorian government to the increased flow of migration from
Venezuela will be reconsidered from a gender perspective and a human rights perspective,
taking into account the abrupt socio-sanitary situation caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, and
the impact that it has had on immigrants in the city of Cuenca.
Based on the public policies issued in 2018 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Human Mobility, this research seeks to give a real and seated look at how efficient the current
regulations are at the time of coping with the current situation, distinguishing at all times the
disparity of conditions that may arise between men and women, accentuating their possible
causes and effects, in order to finally provide a perspective that integrates the gender category
in a transversal way.
The public policies of a country must aim to improve the quality of life of its citizens,
administer and allocate the necessary resources to generate conditions of well-being and
comfort in society, eliminate inequality gaps and balance the possibilities of both, men and
women, to access decent conditions for their development and that of their sons or daughters.

The present research project was carried out between November 2018 and February 2019, in the city of Cuenca specifically in the Sports Federation of Azuay. This research has shed light on how sports constitute a space where gender inequality is generated. Therefore, the thesis examines the evolution of women's participation in sports of physical contact such as judo, boxing and wrestling in the period 2016-2018, from a gender perspective, obtaining as a result that the female participation in these sports is minimal compared to male participation. The research found out that female participation is marginal due to several factors, among which stand out the violence and harassment towards women by the coaches and training partners, the inaccessibility to this sports area, the lack of support for women, the inefficiency in infrastructure and the unequal distribution of resources provided by the Sports Federation of Azuay that disadvantages female athletes. It has been concluded that although the Government is the guarantor of the right to sport as set out in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and the Law of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, it has been demonstrated that the reality that athletes live daily in the performance of physical contact sports in the Sports Federation of Azuay is inconsistent with the theory.

This thesis aims to contribute to the advancement of gender focus incorporation into the budget of the local GAD (Decentralized Autonomous Government) of Cuenca by using the Gender Equality Policies Expense Classifier, a tool developed by the Ministry of Finance that allows each of the activities that will be carried out as part of the projects conveyed in the budget to be consistent with gender equality policies.
From this analysis of Department of Planning budget, we will deliver a proposal of relevant activities and indicators associated with gender equality policies which could further be applied to the projects developed by this Department and other areas under the GAD’s authority. Officers in charge of planning and budgeting will then be able to incorporate gender-responsive budgeting in their endeavors.
Nonetheless, before delving into the process above, we would like to present information related to the gender-responsive budgeting process at a local and national level; there will be a conceptual part along with the legal framework and the local agendas developed by women organizations, all of which is aimed at providing the reader with the necessary elements to justify the need for incorporating a gender focus into public administration.

relation to that elaborate by the Secretary of Higher Education Science and Technology
(SENECYT). The comparison of these components will make it possible to find those
shortcomings that each one presents, to the subsequent resolution of the shortcomings will
allow to treat the resolution of denunciations in a better way. For this, a qualitative,
documentary, descriptive, and analytical approach was required. The main references are
the protocols and strategic plans of each of the Universities of the Cuenca canton. The
techniques used to collect information were: theoretical literature review and interviews with
key informants. In relation to the instruments used these were: the matrices of comparison
and the guide of questions. Among the final data, the protocols are instruments that can
contribute in the prevention of violence, however you cannot expect to change the social
reality only with this element, change to achieve violence reduction must be at the particular
to the structural level.

This research work makes visible the transformation of the working conditions of Trans people in
the city of Cuenca, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the period March - July 2020.
It is taken as a perspective of analysis, the critical contribution of feminist theories with gender
and human rights approaches. The methodology used to determine the risk factors and protective
factors related to the right to work was developed from a qualitative approach, applying in-depth
interviews with key informants. The participants in the study were trans women of legal age who
live in the city of Cuenca and who have been involved in different economic activities in the last
two years.
Among the results, it is described that the main risk factors are exclusion and limitation of
opportunities due to gender identity, discrimination, violence, lack of social security, and job
stability. Among the risk factors that worsened with the presence of the pandemic in the labor area,
it was found that the situations and perception of insecurity increased, it was known about the
worsening of the existence of drug trafficking and exploitation mafias, on the other hand, the level
of economic income decreased to alarming figures compromising the subsistence of some Trans
Women. It was evidenced that trans women do not trust in the current regulations, the authorities’
attention, nor the police as the governing body for justice and protection of their integrity and
dignity. However, individual, collective, and institutional protection factors were identified:
resilience values, solidarity networks, and organizational support from LGBTIQ+ collectives and
organizations.

Globally the lives of millions of people have changed as a result of the coronavirus disease
understood as a contagious disease; specifically in Ecuador the rates of infected individuals
increased alarmingly along with the emergence of new cases and new variants, which after social
isolation by COVID-19 generated family, academic, economic and health changes both physical
and mental that affects individual and family behavior in humans. The objective of the research is
to identify, recognize and establish the family and academic consequences in the students of the
Faculty of Jurisprudence, Political and Social Sciences post-COVID, in the period 2022-2023. The
methodology used in the research was quantitative in nature with a descriptive scope; for the
collection of information, a questionnaire to measure the post-COVID family and academic
consequences and the FF-SIL family functioning questionnaire were carried out and applied in a
non-probabilistic sample; 120 students from the careers of Family Orientation, Gender and
Development, Law and Social Work participated; the cycles for this sample based on the
researcher's convenience technique are fifth, seventh, ninth of the four careers. The results of the
research reflect, hierarchically, that the most relevant aspects for the research are: mental and
physical health, family, economic and academic; where the main consequences are related to
variables such as: communication, emotion management, quality time, material difficulties,
academic learning, income, employment, coping, support networks, among others. The
conclusion indicates that the students and their families in the face of the family and academic
consequences of COVID-19 is good, that is to say that there is family functionality in the face of
the crisis caused by the pandemic.

Trabajo sexual
There are different ways of defining the act of exchanging sex for money; each of them is based
on different political and philosophical approaches and will have different implications. From these
lines, we start from the notion of "sex work". Sex work is not treated, or is inadequately treated, in
public policies, which make the rights of sex workers invisible, seeking to regularize their situation
without addressing their labor rights. This research focuses its analysis on identifying the changes
brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic regarding the working and self-care conditions of sex
workers from a gender and feminist approach, who, in addition to being a socially vulnerable and
stigmatized group, are also one of the most productive sectors of the powerful sex industry, where
the State is not present and, if it is, it is from a punitivist perspective with people who engage in
sex work.
This research was carried out using a qualitative methodology, in which an in-depth interview was
used. It was applied to five people who were chosen by convenience sampling (purposive
sampling). The number of interviews was reduced due to the difficulties of access to the population
group. In addition, the instrument we used responded to the specific objectives set out, in which
sections related to working conditions and self-care and experiences of sex workers in their
diversity of realities were generated.
An attempt was made to construct a document of criticism and reflection, in which the systematic
violence that accompanies sex work, which has shown a significant increase in the context of the
pandemic, was analyzed and evidenced. Violence against women for the fact of being women,
especially those who do not conform to what is established and socially sanctioned for "good
women". In addition, the reality of the impact of the pandemic on sex workers was recognized and
the urgent needs were evidenced, where the lack of research in this regard prevents the
implementation of actions to ensure better working conditions and self-care for women engaged
in sex work.

Efectos de los estereotipos en la construcción de la sexualidad en adolescentes de la parroquia rural San Joaquín

The present research work was carried out in order to analyze the effects that gender
stereotypes have on the construction of sexuality in adolescents from the rural parish of San
Joaquín. For this, students of Basic Higher Education at the San Joaquín Educational Unit of
the Cuenca-Ecuador canton were taken as a case study. The mixed type methodology was
applied, the scope of the research being descriptive. The information collection instrument
was given through a survey and the population sample was 135 students
The main results obtained showed that there are gender stereotypes present mainly in care
work and economic work, due to the fact that there is a naturalization of the duty to be both
in men (provider subjects) and women (household tasks), in relation to the socially attributed
responsibility. In himself, it was possible to analyze that gender stereotypes directly infer the
way in which the study group assumes and lives their sexuality, due to the perpetuation of
ideals around feelings, attachment and sexual experience.
Finally, it could be seen that gender stereotypes are constructed in equal measure about the
sexes, however, they respond to different patterns, since, on the figure of the male, behaviors
and active experiences are naturally associated within their sexuality, unlike women, who are
built on the ideal of passive and caring femininity in relation to what they can or should do
around their sexual life

Violence against men has become a problem because, for a long time, men have been ignored
as the victim, and what prevents it are all the stereotypes under hegemonic masculinity, that
sociocultural norm that orders what should being, thinking, acting and feeling men for all that,
this study of hegemonic masculinity and violence against men had the general objective of
knowing how hegemonic masculinity prevents the visibility of violence against men exercised by
women in students of the careers of Gender and Development and Architecture of the University
of Cuenca during the year 2022.
To reach the main purpose, the specific objectives were to describe how violence against men
exercised by women affects hegemonic masculinities and to compare how hegemonic
masculinity influences male students in the Gender and Development and Architecture career at
the University of Cuenca compared to violent situations.
On the other hand, the quantitative methodology was used, with a descriptive research design,
to obtain a significant sample, stratified sampling was applied, from which a sample of 126 male
students was obtained, using a Likert scale questionnaire. The main results that could be seen
is that men make their different realities invisible, continuing under the hegemonic masculinity,
on the other hand, Gender and Development students maintain a better predisposition to try to
build another type of masculinity by speaking and denouncing, while Contrary to architecture
students who mostly prefer to keep quiet.

The capitalist-patriarchal economic system is responsible for the sexual division of labor, designating
roles to each gender where women are the most affected by the overload of domestic and care
activities and agricultural work. Thus, this research aims to understand the effects of gender roles on
care and domestic work from the perspective of men and women in the San Pedro de Santa Ana
community in Cuenca and the Huachi de Dug-Dug community in Paute. Likewise, for the
methodology, the study used a mix method approach for data collection. For the quantitative data, a
sociodemographic survey was applied, which allowed the gathering of disaggregated data on the
inhabitants of each community. For the qualitative data, interviews were conducted using semi-
structured scripts with adult men and women residents in the communities. The results showed that gender roles mainly affect women since it is normalized that the responsibility for care activities and
domestic work corresponds to women; in contrast, men have more opportunities to access jobs
outside the home, exempting them from care tasks.

This research work addresses the context of vivander women working in municipal
markets, the main objective of the research was to analyze the triple role played by
vivander women in the August 10 market of the city of Cuenca in the year 2020, from a
gender perspective. The research determined that the triple role played by vivander
women is manifested in the execution of domestic tasks, as well as care activities, the
sale of their products in the market and community participation that the women carry
out both inside and outside the market. On the other hand, the conflicts that women face
at the moment of reconciling these roles were identified, which mainly arise due to the
lack of co-responsibility of the members of the family group in the execution of the
domestic and care tasks, thus producing an overload of work for women. The research
also shows the gender inequalities that women face when they enter the labor market in
those occupations considered to be part of their femininity, caused by the difficulties
they have in accessing job opportunities because it is much easier for men than for
women to access decent employment.

The attribution of roles and responsibilities based on gender, called "sexual division of labor", has bequeathed to women a workload that is structured in the triple role: productive, reproductive and community. The fundamental of this research consisted of analyzing experiences from the genderapproach to the productive, reproductive and community roles of women traders of the Arenal Market in Cuenca during the year 2023. This study adopted a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design and descriptive scope. Two techniques were used: bibliographic reviewand in-depth interviews. The type of sampling was non- probabilistic or by convenience, since theaim was to obtain samples that converge with the objectives. Finally, this research revealed that the women of the Arenal Market associations play a triple role, including domestic activities, care, commerce and community participation. In this sense, conciliation strategies such as transferringresponsibilities to older children and hiring workers in the market were identified. On the other hand, conflicts arise in single-parentfamilies, exacerbated by the lack of co-responsibility and family support. Women traders challenge traditional gender roles, assuming both maternal and paternal responsibilities in their families.

The care excercised by women is essential to maintain people´s lives and the social-emotional

saturing the lives´women. The female reproductive activities (domestic work, care) and the affair
rural´s women, the productive activities (agriculture-rancher), it make women dedícate less time
to themselves, even more so with the hight demand for care that is required to protect family life

Additionally, the changes determined by the quarantine for Covid 19, generated economic losses
that increased the levels of female poverty, at the same time, female community participation
was affected by the increase in domestic work and care and no social coexistence. Secondly, new
challenges appear for care and domestic work by the use the new technologies to suply needs

The objective of this research was to analyze the labor experiences of women workers in the
Mercado 12 de abril in the city of Cuenca in the period March 2022 - February 2023. In order
to obtain significant data, we worked with a mixed methodology, with a descriptive
exploratory scope. For the quantitative paradigm, a survey was applied to a sample of
women working in the sale of food products in the Mercado 12 de Abril, while for the
qualitative paradigm, a semi-structured question guide was used for the interviews. Inclusion
and exclusion criteria were used to delimit the sample to 12 women working for at least 10
years and who had shared their work space with sons and daughters. Through the data
collected, in the interpretation and analysis, it was observed that through their experiences in
the market, they present affections in their physical and mental health, they have sacrificed
time and social and family relationships to achieve economic autonomy and support in their
homes, since most of them are heads of household, where working has meant for these
women to cover several tasks simultaneously such as the care and raising of their children in
the market, commercialization of their products and an apparent family network of which they
are a part.

This research was carried out in the San Cristóbal parish, canton Paute, in the women's organization “Caja de ahorro y Crédito”, between the months of June-2019 until March-2020, in which, the history of the organization from its formation to the present is shown. In this work, the following were analyzed: access to credit, gender roles, gender division of labor, the sense of belonging to the domestic space, the fear of entering the organizational spaces, empowerment and the participation of the members. The spaces generated in the organization of women and the experience acquired are valued by women, all these actions and interactions allowed effective participation in the different socio-organizational activities that broke with the daily routine of the domestic environment and allowed them to enter socially reserved spaces for males. The experiences achieved indicated that the women of the organization have a before and an after, since, by participating, fears are transformed into security, self-esteem and thus end up empowering themselves

Historically, the dominant logics have delegitimized and devalued other types of knowledge
that have not been produced by white, European, heteroxual, upper class men, which is why
this research focuses on addressing how the work of women herbalists within the framework
of recovery of the knowledge that was born in the South, are part of a resistance that fights to
make visible and recognize the knowledge that has been transmitted through generations and
that is part of the Latin American cultural identity.
For this reason, the general objective of our study is to systematize the experiences of herbal
women from the Intercultural Association of Yachak Aiyapu Pumapungo in ancestral medical
practices. The research has a qualitative approach of descriptive scope since it seeks to
interpret the experiences of herbal women from a critical position, the design is a combination
of action research and phenomenology. We will work with two techniques: interviews with
semi-structured questions and focus groups.
The results aim to make visible how the field of ancestral medicine is also subject to following
patriarchal mandates, which leads to women being subject to inequality and discrimination.
But in addition to revealing the gender bias, we also want to show how herbal women are
possessors of their own knowledge that, despite the processes of coloniality and globalization,
their efforts are still valid and that they are also subjects of knowledge and agents of change.

deals with investigating which gender stereotypes are more frequent in women's football
and how these affect their sporting performance, emotional health, their psychological
state and whether there is desertion from the sport as a result of gender stereotypes.
Knowing that sport maintains a deeply androcentric structure, Therefore, sport is one of
the spaces that most discriminates against women. This discriminatory treatment of
women is deeply marked by gender stereotypes that are ingrained in society's thinking.
The main results of the research were that the most frequent gender stereotypes are those
related to women's identity, women's sexuality, traditional gender roles, and women's
strength and ability. It has been concluded that many of these gender stereotypes are
unconsciously reproduced without knowing the true meaning behind them, such as the
assumption that because a woman plays football she will become a tomboy or butch terms
that in themselves have the same meaning and are reproduced by society, gender
stereotypes that are reproduced by certain groups that are mostly adult men

Hemerographic documentation and key informant interviews were taken into account to obtain data, proceed with the analysis, and a proposal that would improve the treatment of violence that is associated with female irregular migration from Cuenca to the United States. The results showed that there are still problems of gender violence related to irregular migration because there is little awareness campaigns on the origins of migration and the Ecuadorian authorities cannot control what happens outside its borders. It is necessary an effective Integral Human Mobility Act in addition to multilateral agreements that allow regular family reunification, human rights protection in detention areas, among other actions.

The political sphere has historically been dominated by male participation, from its inception
to the present day. Although there has been an increase in female participation in these areas
in recent years, significant gaps persist that still hinder the access and permanence of many
women in decision-making and political representation spaces. This research is focused on
analyzing the Political Participation and Gender Focus of Cuenca Councilwomen in the 2019-
2023 term, identifying the obstacles and challenges they face when accessing these spaces,
and their active commitment to improving the situation of the women they represent. The
methodology applied in this research is qualitative with explanatory scope, based on the Latin
American action-participation research design. The convenience sampling technique, a nonprobabilistic method, was applied. For this purpose, research techniques such as five life
stories within politics and five in-depth interviews were conducted, providing various analysis
themes such as active participation, political involvement and commitment, experiences within
the political sphere, and the impact of female representation that allowed addressing the
implication of female representation in politics. After a thorough analysis of the experiences
recounted by the councilwomen, it was observed that they experienced political violence, and
these acts were replicated by the media, with some even considering resigning from their
positions. Time management also emerged as a challenge, as balancing political
responsibilities with roles as mothers and caregivers proved difficult. In an attempt to be heard
in a predominantly male environment, some councilwomen felt the need to adopt more
masculinized attitudes. Despite these complications, their commitment to improving society
and promoting women's rights remained steadfast, highlighting the resilience and
determination of these women in the local political sphere.

This research was conducted at the Agustín Cuesta Vintimilla Educational Unit located in Narancay bajo,
via Nero, half a block from the Panamerican Highway south in the parish of Baños in the canton of Cuenca
in the province of Azuay, in order to know the level of knowledge about the hidden curriculum that the
teachers of the middle school of the institution have, For this purpose, a methodology with a qualitative
approach based on semi-structured interviews was carried out and a focus group was also applied, which
made it possible to collect data to extract deeper knowledge of the subject and for all the above mentioned,
a total of 7 teachers were involved, belonging to the sub-level of the middle elementary school.
In the same way, it can be said that the level of knowledge that the middle school teachers of the institution
have about the hidden curriculum and about gender issues is too low because many teachers do not know
about the concept of gender and how to apply it to the teaching-learning processes that take place in their
classes. In relation to the individual differences of the students, teachers try to attend to the realities, needs
and interests of the students, although they recognize that it is quite difficult due to the administrative
overload that they also have to carry out as teachers. Finally, with respect to the application of the gender
approach in the teaching-learning processes, teachers understand that it is vitally important to carry out
training, since this way they can become aware of the problem of the hidden curriculum in order to handle
it with due care and thus improve their training as teachers and improve society in general.

The premise is based on the historical androcentric logic upon which the educational system has been built, which invisibilizes other ways of being and conceiving the world. The inclusion of women in formal education alone has not guaranteed equal participation conditions. Forms of harassment, discrimination, and gender-based violence persist.
In response to this issue, coeducation is proposed as a model that seeks to identify and transform dynamics that reproduce inequalities, promoting safe spaces and horizontal relationships between genders. Simultaneously, it is important to reconsider masculinities to flexibilize mandates that are oppressive not only for women but also for men themselves.
This qualitative and exploratory research aims to conduct semi-structured interviews and focus groups with students enrolled in the 9th and 10th cycles. Its objective is to understand the perceptions and experiences of these future teachers, both in their university training processes and in their pre-professional practices in schools, to assess how these spaces reproduce or contribute to changing the logics of the sex-gender system.
The results will make visible the factors that reinforce stereotypes of hegemonic masculinity in the participants, as well as the opportunities and strategies that have allowed redefining masculinities towards more equitable and equal forms of relationship between genders in the educational context.

This academic monograph for graduation purposes, analyzes the conceptions that guide the decisions of the operators or operators of justice in cases of violent deaths of women, because they are women.
From the frame of reference of the femicide figure, as the maximum expression of violence against women, with the perspective of gender -vision from women- and with specific elements of the methodology of gender analysis proposed by Alda Facio, in his Book "When gender sounds, changes brings", analyzes the legal phenomenon of femicide of two emblematic cases in the country, in the light of legal instruments of COIP and resolutions of international events of women, on prevention of gender violence , Determining their progress and / or setbacks in the country.
The results show progress in the procedures of visibilization and particularization of the cases of femicide, although they need to deepen in political-cultural elements that prevent this type of violence.

Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy, in contexts of criminalization represents a
risk to women's lives in Ecuador, if it is not proven that pregnancy is product of rape, it is
not possible to access health services to voluntarily terminate a pregnancy, so that
punishability does not dissuade women to not abort, on the contrary, it forces them to do at
home or clandestine, illegal places or unsanitary places.
Health workers, is an important sector to study in relation to the exercise of
women's reproductive rights, since in their professional practice they encounter cases of
Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy, so it is necessary to establish a correlation with what
the future doctors from the University of Cuenca state in their discourses on maternity and
paternity, linking it with their religious-catholic beliefs, that represent a notorious influence
in relation to the legal and social sanction of VIP.
The lack of knowledge in relation to reproductive rights, as well as the normative
framework around the use of conscientious objection and the care of obstetric emergencies,
and the reproduction of gender stereotypes in the discourse on maternity and paternity by
health workers, represent an obstacle to the exercise of autonomy of women's bodies.

Enfoque curricular
The gender approach as a tool that allows us to have a vision of the existing inequality in the
educational environments, being this one of the pillars for the present research where the
reflection on how the gender mainstreaming approach is applied in the curricula and
particularly from the Application of the Executive Decrees No.397 and No.460 on gender
violence in the development of the curriculum of the area of Language and Literature of the
Seventh Grade of EGB, during the school year 2020 - 2021,
Its purpose is to measure the degree of knowledge of teachers when applying gender
mainstreaming in the development of pedagogical activities. In addition, it is important to
highlight that the scope of the research is to know how the implementation of these gender
tools would support cultural and educational changes. Likewise, the research instrument to
be used are semi-structured interviews and field observation, which will help to clarify the
information obtained in the process. To conclude, the following aspects have been found:
lack of knowledge of Executive Decrees No.397 and No.460, another of the results is that
the regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Education have not issued the respective
guidelines regarding this need, another of the findings is the collective manifestation of
teachers regarding the lack of information in relation to the gender approach and the rights
approach.

This research was carried out in the rural parish of Ricarte, Cuenca county, during the months of December 2018 and March 2019, in the Association of Users of the Irrigation System - Checa - Sidcay – Ricaurte. The purpose of this project was to analyze the configuration of the processes of participation and construction of the empowerment of the women leaders of the Irrigation Association between 2016 - 2018. The research made it possible to demonstrate a gender gap in the participation of women and men in the leadership of the system, and the consequent inequality of gender, although the incursion of women in these spaces put at their disposal some tools (doe to their status as leaders) that made possible the acquisition and development of a series of abilities that, through the exercise of the leadership and community leadership, constituted generating autonomy and / or empowerment. Similarly, although their participation and empowerment almost always brings positive effects, it also has some negative impacts such as the overload of domestic work and care due to gender roles and stereotypes assigned to their women. Finally, for them, empowerment and full autonomy is possible only when they affirm themselves in their will and conscience of leaders, and that is articulated with the support of their family, their community and the organization.

The participation of women has manifested itself through society in various ways, which represent a way to recognize their contributions, it is for this reason that sport and martial arts have played an important role in humanity, which is based on the influence of the discipline of Muay Thai, establishing a point of reflection about its content for the gender perspective, in the same way, the acquisition of physical techniques, skills and abilities. On the other hand, Muay Thai, being a complete martial art, allows this research to represent women in spaces such as: promotions, competitions and seminars, provided that society does not know and gives a masculine vision. Therefore, this reveals its achievements through relevant information that constitutes gender inclusion and equality; Similarly, it lets us see the importance of the practice regardless of sex. Consequently, the investigation was applied to the combat academies of the city of Cuenca, which were: Kamikaze "Born to Fight", Kamikaze "Iron Fist", Kamikaze "Samurai" and Supremacy "MMA", which maintained a sample of eighteen female students, in addition, through interviews conducted individually, observations, questions and doubts could be made about them, which allowed them to issue conclusions that demonstrated the constant participation of women in the Martial art of Muay Thai.

Within the mining sector there are different types of jobs and actors, which are not always
governed by labor formality. This research was conducted in order to make visible the work of
women jancheras in the framework of Feminist Political Ecology in the parish of Camilo Ponce
Enriquez, Azuay, 2021-2022. A mixed approach methodology was applied; on the one hand, the
quantitative method and exploratory-descriptive scope was applied to learn about the janche work
developed within the mining areas, as well as, the working conditions of the jancheras women;
on the other hand, the qualitative method and phenomenological scope, in order to recognize the
experiences that motivated the jancheras women to engage in this type of activities and to remain
in them, generation after generation.
The techniques used were the survey and the semi-structured interview. The survey was
applied to a sample of 65 women jancheras and the results were ordered and tabulated in the
SPSS statistical program. The semi-structured interviews were applied to 7 different actors, these
interviews were processed and categorized in the ATLAS.TI software program. The results
obtained show that women jancheras face work-related accidents, health problems, work
overload, no labor protection, and their work is invisible and unrecognized because it is carried
out under the shadow of informality.

Gender has marked the lives of women and men in different ways, namely, rural women
working in the agricultural sector face obstacles due to a gender bias that hinders their
economic and social growth. Therefore, through quantitative data, the research aims to
analyze the gender bias in the agricultural sector of the Tarqui parish, and its impact on the
lives of rural women. The design was descriptive and cross-sectional, using the simple random
probability sampling method; for the distribution of the sample, the organizations integrated
only by women were considered, giving a total of 67 women; with a confidence level of 92%
and an error of 8%,". The instrument was a questionnaire that was applied to rural women
belonging to the agro-productive associations of the parish of Tarqui. Among some of the most
relevant findings are that the agricultural system of Tarqui is characterizedby a gender bias;
the rural women associated with Tarqui are attached to the idea of "femininity", which makes
them develop their lives under social norms based on gender roles, among others.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused specific impacts on the mental health of student
mothers. This study aimed to determine the presence of stress, anxiety and depression generated
by the impact of the confinement during Covid-19 outbreak on the mental health of student
mothers at the Gender and Development career - Universidad de Cuenca. For this purpose, a
qualitative methodology was used with inductive and phenomenological research methods. After
free and informed consent, the Goldberg Anxiety and Depression scales, the Holmes and Rahe life
events scale and the in-depth interview technique were applied anonymously and voluntarily to a
sample of 10 university mothers who met the selection criteria, taking as a reference two kinds of
conditions: one, the double condition of mother-student and two, the triple condition of mother,
student and worker. The results of the respective scales showed that all the student mothers
presented a high level of anxiety, while only 9 university mothers had a high prevalence of
depression and 8 out of 10 student mothers experienced an intermediate level of stress.
Furthermore, these three symptomathologies were manifested together with signs of fatigue,
tiredness, insomnia, overexertion and difficulties in concentration, causing emotions such as
frustration, anguish, worry, guilt, sadness and irritability. The findings allowed to understand and
conclude that multiple roles such as teleworking, the educational process and gender stereotypes
that revolve around motherhood plus risk factors such as being head of household, student and
lack of co-responsibility within the home, are the main causes of stress, anxiety and depression in
these mothers

Autocuidado en las y los estudiantes de la Universidad para las Personas Adultas Mayores - UPAM: Análisis desde una perspectiva de género

The objective of this research was to identify the protection factors and obstacles related to
self-care among the students of the University for Older Adults (UPAM) during the last quarter
of the year 2022, for which the gender approach was established as the basis of the study
due to the little information that exists on this topic.
As for the methodology, a mixed approach was used, i.e. quantitative and qualitative of an
exploratory-descriptive nature, since a first approach to the subject of the study was made
and the main protection factors and obstacles that older adults have at the time of exercising
adequate self-care were explained, for obtaining the information a semi-structured interview
was applied, which was based on the Human Development Scale proposed by Max-Neef.
The older adults who took part in the study were 14 older adults (7 men and 7 women) of 65
years of age from the University for the Elderly.
The results obtained showed that in terms of protective factors, older adults prioritize the
satisfiers of subsistence, affection, understanding, leisure, identity and freedom. As for the
obstacles, it is recognized that both in public and private spaces their rights as older adults
are not respected, and there is no easy access to basic information related to aspects of
sexuality, nor spaces in which they can work or study.

Análisis de la pobreza multidimensional con enfoque de género en recicladores de base del cantón Cuenca

Current consumption and production patterns are unsustainable, and waste pickers
in Latin America are key stakeholders, since they favor increasing recycling rates in
a region with precarious waste management systems. Therefore, this research
analyzes poverty of time and power in waste pickers based on the theory of
multidimensional poverty. Recycling at the foot of the sidewalk is part of the informal
sector and is carried out mainly (80%) by women in Cuenca canton. This feminized
activity is traversed by structural violence, in terms of poverty and patriarchy. A
qualitative study of poverty was carried out, based on semi-structured interviews with
nine organized and independent women waste pickers during the first half of 2020.
The results show the perceptions and feelings of women regarding the use of time
and violence. The space in which recycling is carried out, whether on the streets, is
violent, due to the struggle of sectors to guarantee access to the material, and at
home, in which the material is classified, due to direct violence of which they are
victims, their main aggressors are their partners. The poverty of time that arises from
the sexual division of labor is reflected in their exclusion from the formal labor market,
compared to recycling as an opportunity to care and produce. Any local policy must
consider that informal recycling in the canton is a feminized activity and strategies
require understanding poverty from a gender perspective.

This research was carried out in the Autonomous Decentralized Government (GAD) Parish of Turi, belonging to the Canton Cuenca, is qualitative and was executed through the analysis of its Planning and Territorial Planning (PDOT) document, and based on interviews with public servants of the parish GAD for the 2014-2019 period and of the priority care groups (adults and older adults, boys, girls and adolescents, young women and men and the population of disadvantaged adult women) who were subject to intervention by said policies. The purpose of this project is the analysis of strategies for mainstreaming the gender approach in its management model in the 2014-2018 period. The research also aims to raise awareness of the strategies that the GAD applies for the Transversalization of the Gender Approach at the time of planning and / or executing action strategies according to their competences, both in their diagnostic phase as well as at the time of articulating national plans for planning, in the projection of their general intervention objectives and in the execution of social projects. The research findings allowed us to discover that although new forms of inclusion and participation have been implemented for the historically vulnerable population and that they have had a positive impact, this is not enough and therefore gender gaps and inequalities still persist.

The research was conducted at the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit in order to identify the
knowledge, attitudes and practices of the teaching staff regarding the reproduction of gender
stereotypes. Since, it was determined the lack of a gender approach and its mainstreaming
in the teaching and learning processes; moreover, as gender stereotypes have been present
in education and have gone unnoticed at the time of educating students, naturalizing attitudes
guided by social constructs.
Therefore, a quantitative methodology supported by a survey of knowledge, attitudes and
KAP practices was used to collect data on the reproduction of gender stereotypes, and for
this purpose, 75 teachers from the morning and afternoon shifts were interviewed.
The results obtained in the research show that teachers do not know what gender is, since
they confuse it as the sex of women and men; they also show a different treatment for each
sex in the classroom, i.e., a delicate treatment of women, but not rude treatment of men.
Additionally, it was reflected that teachers consider the literature they use to teach free of all
gender stereotypes, without clearly identifying what they are.

The main purpose of this research is to analyze the institutional response in cases of gender- based psychological violence in the Azuay Attorney General's Office. Know specifically from the perspective of public servants, how the gender approach is applied in the development of their functions. The investigation is important because it seeks to describe the limitations and good practices that are presented in the Azuay Prosecutor's Office when receiving complaints of psychological violence, all from a gender perspective.
In this way, the entire approach and development of this research thesis is based on a question that responds to all the objectives, benefiting and enriching the project. Well, it allowed the researchers to know from different perspectives the processes that a person who comes to this institution as a victim of psychological violence goes through. In this research work, gender is used as a category of relational analysis. The methodology of this research is qualitative.
The results obtained were coded and correlated according to the level of importance. Where the recurring discourse leads to the conclusion in this project that there is indeed a general knowledge of the gender approach and this in turn is applied by public servants. However, the flaws are notable, but at a systematic level, it is necessary to rethink the dynamics that are managed from the bases of the judicial system.

In Ecuador, the issue related to the monitoring of the Protection Measures granted by
the Intrafamily Violence Unit has caused failures in the guarantee of the victims' rights in
terms of the applicability and effectiveness of said norms for the aggressor, which contributes
to the fact that the scourge of domestic violence every day continues to claim more victims
in our country, without apparent total control. That is why this investigation seeks from
criminal dogmatics to analyze the effectiveness in the application of the Protection Measures
Granted by the Intrafamily Violence Unit in Cuenca. For this, a descriptive-exploratory,
explanatory, observational analytical methodology was applied. In the data collection, a
documentary bibliographic analysis was carried out and interviews were applied to three
Judges of the Cuenca Intrafamily Violence Unit. Obtaining as a result that the protection
measures granted by the Intrafamily Violence Unit, during the period of the COVID 19
Pandemic, were insufficient since they could not cover aspects such as socioeconomic, or
other types of needs of the victims.

In adolescence, the first dating relationships often develop, however, young people
often confuse possessive behaviors with displays of affection. Romantic love is based on an
androcentric society based on prejudices that establish how love should be in affective
relationships; manifestations such as the exclusivity of the couple, ideals of the perfect man
and woman; possessive jealousy as evidence of love, are acts of violence that correlate with
submission and power.
In this context, the research on dating in adolescence is relevant, it gathered 580
adolescents from 12 to 19 years of age from educational institutions in the most populated
parishes of the city of Cuenca. The sample was 389 students, which corresponds to 67%
who live or lived a dating relationship. An online survey was applied to collect data on
physical, psychological and sexual violence and its possible consequences experienced by
adolescents in dating relationships with their partners. The results were analyzed in a
differentiated manner for men and women, with a gender perspective

Gender violence in courtship is a worldwide problem, which occurs in the adolescent stage in
which men exercise violence against their partners in various forms from psychological to physical, under the belief that they are actions of care or love, based on this, the purpose of the research was to identify the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices that third year high school students of the Antonio Avila Maldonado School have about gender violence in courtship.
The research methodology was quantitative, applied, descriptive and non-experimental. In this
context, a sample of 114 third year high school students was used, the results indicated that
students confuse the types of violence and showed that 11.1% of women and 28.3% of men
consider that blackmail and manipulation are forms of physical violence; as for attitudes, 21.75% of men and 4.8% of women indicated that they strongly agree with the attitude that the woman's body belongs to the man, and finally, the most prevalent practices in relationships are verbal, physical and sexual violence.
