| Abstract: | Writer and university professor, Juan Pablo Castro, with his short novel The night japanese has decided to inquire into the thoughts and reflections more dark that hides the human being in relation to life. It also highlights those features that keep the city of Quito and the form of God that this is for and about its inhabitants. Through its characters critical religion and claimed the right of the marginal beings within the cities. These aspects motivated the analysis of the work of Castro together with the theory of the urban imaginaries of Armando Silva, mainly, the same that helped us to conclude that the transformism, denial and secrecy are forms of dressing of the contemporary city. We have formed a concept of dressing in the cities and we have known their causes.
It is imperative that rescue in this work is presented in detail the political and cultural context of the life of the author; fundamental element to know and understand their approach and progress in the literature. We also collect their works, and we present a summary of each one of them to understand the style, techniques and themes used in their stories and especially to get closer to the work of a new Ecuadorian writer. |
| Description: | Escritor y profesor universitario, Juan Pablo Castro, con su novela corta La noche japonesa ha decidido indagar en los pensamientos y reflexiones más oscuras que oculta el ser humano enrelación a la vida. También destaca aquellas características que mantiene la ciudad de Quito y la forma de dios que esta tiene para y sobre sus habitantes. Por medio de sus personajes critica la religión y reivindica el derecho de los seres marginales, dentro de las urbes. Estos aspectos motivaron el análisis de la obra de Castro junto a la teoría de Los imaginarios urbanos de Armando Silva, principalmente, la misma que nos ayudó a concluir que el transformismo, la negación y la clandestinidad son formas de travestismo de la ciudad contemporánea. Hemos formado un concepto de travestismo en las urbes y hemos conocido sus causas.
Es imprescindible rescatar que en este trabajo se presenta de manera detallada el contexto político y cultural de la vida del autor; elemento fundamental para conocer y comprender su acercamiento y progreso en la literatura. También recogemos sus obras y presentamos una síntesis de cada una de ellas para entender el estilo, técnicas y temáticas utilizadas en sus relatos y sobre todo para acercarnos al trabajo de un nuevo escritor ecuatoriano. |
