Abstract: | An optimal training and an acceptable coordination in the different techniques that are executed in Karate, play a primordial role to develop a greater muscular strengthening and to avoid an injury. The purpose of this research is to strengthen the upper and lower limbs in order to prevent possible injuries in Karate-Do athletes during training or competitions. The objective of the present investigation is to design a training program to strengthen and prevent
injuries of the lower and upper train in the athletes of the Karate-Do team of the Sports
Federation of Cañar.
The design of this research is quasi-experimental and descriptive, with a non-probabilistic
sample, of which 13 are women and 17 are men between 12 and 16 years of age, who
regularly attend training sessions. The instruments used will be the Drop Jump to evaluate the
reactive strength of the lower limbs and the arm flexion test to know the level of strength of
the upper limbs, which will be applied at the beginning of the research (pre-test) and at the
end of the intervention (post-test), that is, before and at the end of the program. During the
course of the research, the FIFA 11+ and Activate World Rugby programs will be used, which through exercises will help strengthen the upper and lower train, with a duration of 12 weeks. With the results obtained, the aim is to improve their physical condition, that is to say that the group of athletes will be in optimal conditions for their respective competitions without having a chronic risk. |
