| Abstract: | This monographic work corresponds to the field of education and focuses on the theoretical
knowledge of the role of the family in the education of children throughout history. After this
task, we proceeded to the selection and bibliographic review of different documents. Once the
information was systematized and analyzed, it was found that throughout history the family
has indeed played a fundamental role in the education of children, since from primitive times
to the present day the family is the main socializing agent in charge of cultivating values,
knowledge, social norms and therefore also of the physical and emotional education of its
children. At the same time, educational practices that have remained for millennia until today
are recognized. This monograph has two chapters, the first one is a brief historical review of
the family, its concept, the types of family, the family in ancient, middle and modern times, and
finally the styles of upbringing from prehistory to the present. The second chapter ana lyzes
how the family has dealt with the education of its children from the moment they are born until
they are incorporated into institutionalized education and throughout this. As a conclusion it is
confirmed that throughout history the family has always been linked to the education of
children either implicitly or explicitly. |
| Description: | El presente trabajo monográfico corresponde al campo de la educación, se centra en conocer
de forma teórica el papel de la familia en la educación de los hijos a lo largo de la historia.
Tras este cometido se procedió a la selección y revisión bibliográfica de diferentes
documentos. Sistematizada y analizada la información se encontró que a lo largo de la historia
la familia efectivamente cumple un papel fundamental en la educación de los hijos, pues
desde la edad primitiva hasta nuestros días la familia es el principal agente socializador
encargado de cultivar valores, conocimientos, normas sociales y por consiguiente también de
la educación física y emocional de sus hijos. Al tiempo que se reconocen prácticas educativas
que han permanecido durante milenios hasta nuestros días. Esta monografía cuenta con dos
capítulos, en el primero se realiza un breve recorrido histórico de la familia, su concepto, los
tipos de familia, la familia en la edad antigua, media y moderna, por último los estilos de
crianza desde la prehistoria hasta la actualidad. En el segundo capítulo se analiza cómo la
familia se ha ocupado de la educación de sus hijos desde el momento que nacen hasta que
se incorporan a la educación institucionalizada y a lo largo de esta. Como conclusión se
confirma que a lo largo de la historia la familia siempre ha estado vinculada con la educación
de los hijos ya sea de forma implícita o explícita. |
