| Abstract: | The objective of the study was to determine the profile of the self-esteem of (as) adolescents aged 14 to 19, of "Dr. Camilo Gallegos D." the tenth basic and first baccalaureate college; by quantifying the self and heterovaloraciones using the afectograma scales with positive and negative in his three roles (school, family, community) and in the four fields (body, attitudinal, identity and academic) each of these conformed by 14 variables with scale of - 10 to + 10; data that has been processed in the form after collection: individual groups according to gender and origin; I also discuss and relate the data with the chronological and school age; with weight, height and body mass index.
The study was carried out in 153 students: 80 male and 73 female; the tenth 77 and 76, the first high school
The results obtained with the processing and analysis of the data set the existence of differences between the values of: the self- and heterovaloraciones of the sexes and of origin; also allows you to set the profiles of the auto - images with each item (14) valued plotting in the profile as affective loads distributed over the range from + 10 to - 10; and the set of seven auto- images generates the general profile of the self-esteem that allows you to identify the strengths, weaknesses and emotional threats

| Description: | El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el perfil de la autoestima de los (as) adolescentes de 14 a 19 años, del colegio “Dr. Camilo Gallegos D.” del décimo de básica y primero de bachillerato; mediante la cuantificación de las auto y heterovaloraciones utilizando para ello el afectograma con escalas positiva y negativa en sus tres roles (escolar, comunitario, familiar) y en los cuatro ámbitos (corporal, actitudinal, académico e identidad) cada uno de estos conformados por 14 variables con escala de -10 a + 10; datos que luego de su recolección se procesó en forma: individual, por grupos según sexo y procedencia; además se analizo y se relaciono los datos con la edad cronológica y escolar; con peso, talla e índice de masa corporal.
El estudio se efectúo en 153 alumnos: 80 varones y 73 mujeres; 77 del décimo y 76 del primero de bachillerato.
Los resultados obtenidos con el procesamiento y análisis de lo datos establecen la existencia de diferencias entre los valores de: las auto y heterovaloraciones, de los sexos y los de procedencia; permite también establecer los perfiles de las autoimágenes con cada ítem (14) valorado y graficado en el perfil como cargas afectivas distribuidas en el rango de +10 a -10; y, el conjunto de las siete autoimágenes genera el perfil general de la autoestima que permite identificar las fortalezas, debilidades y amenazas afectivas.
