| Abstract: | No reference values for spirometry obtained according to the recommendations published by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS) in 2007 healthy 7-year school.
Objective: To determine reference values for forced spirometry in healthy schoolchildren aged 7 years under the recommendations of the ATS / ERS of the urban area of the city of Cuenca, 2013.
Material and Methods: A descriptive study in healthy male and female children under 7 years. Forced spirometry was performed at children taken at different educational establishments in the city of Cuenca randomly. And the recommendations of the ATS / ERS were followed.
Results: About 142 children studied (71 boys and 71 girls) spirometric variables have a Gaussian distribution is set neperiana after logarithmic transformation. Spirometric variables relate to sex, weight and height. The equations obtained: FVC = -1.27 + 0.0136 + 0.0232 weight size - 0,141 sex. FEV1 = -1.12 + 0.0111 + 0.0215 weight size - 0,131 sex. FEF25 = -1.47 + 0.0255 + 0.0353 weight size - 0,247 sex. FEF50 = 0.14 + 0.0079 + 0.0187 weight size - 0.0963 sex. FEF75 = 0.32 + 0.0123 + 0.0083 weight size - 0,177 sex. The regression equation is ratio = 103 to 0.039 weight - size 0,052 - 0,876 sex. Sex influences FVC, FEV1, FEF25 and FEF75; weight influences FVC and FEV1, height influences FVC, FEV1 and FEF25.
Conclusions: Obtained: CVF: male: 1.69; female: 1.60. FEV1: male: 1.59; female: 1.50. FEV1/FVC ratio: male: 95.1; woman. 94.1; FEF25 %: male: 3.12; women: 2.96: FEF50 %: male: 0.55 female: 2.41. FEF75 %: male: 1.43; female: 1.28.

| Description: | No existen valores de referencia de espirometría forzada obtenidos según las recomendaciones publicadas por la American Thoracic Society (ATS) y la European Respiratory Society (ERS) en 2007, en escolares de 7 años sanos.
Objetivo: determinar los valores de referencia de la espirometria forzada en escolares sanos de 7 años bajo las recomendaciones de la ATS/ERS del área urbana de la Ciudad de Cuenca, 2013.
Material y métodos: estudio descriptivo en niños sanos de ambos sexos de 7 años. Las espirometrías forzadas se realizaron a los niños tomados en los diferentes establecimientos educativos de la ciudad de Cuenca de forma aleatorizada. Y se siguieron las recomendaciones de la ATS/ERS.
Resultados: sobre 142 niños estudiados (71 niños y 71 niñas) las variables espirométricas no presentan una distribución gaussiana que se establece tras transformación logarítmica neperiana. Las variables espirométricas se relacionan con el sexo, peso y la talla. Las ecuaciones obtenidas: CVF= -1,27 + 0,0136peso + 0,0232talla – 0,141sexo. VEF1 = -1,12 + 0,0111peso + 0,0215talla – 0,131sexo. FEF25 = -1,47 + 0,0255peso + 0,0353talla – 0,247sexo. FEF50 = 0,14 + 0,0079peso + 0,0187talla – 0,0963sexo. FEF75 = 0,32 + 0,0123peso + 0,0083talla – 0,177sexo. La ecuación de regresión es relación = 103 – 0,039peso – 0,052talla – 0,876sexo. El sexo influye en la CVF, VEF1, FEF25 y FEF75; el peso influye en CVF y VEF1, la talla influye en CVF, VEF1 y FEF25.
Conclusiones: Se obtuvo: CVF: hombre: 1,69; mujer: 1,60. VEF1: hombre: 1,59; mujer: 1,50. Relación FEV1/CVF: hombre: 95,1; mujer. 94,1; FEF25%: hombre: 3,12; mujer: 2,96: FEF50%: hombre: 0,55 mujer: 2,41. FEF75%: hombre: 1,43; mujer: 1,28.
