Diseño y aplicación de principios sustentables a un edificio de vivienda

Abstract

The ecological damage that humanity have caused in such a short time, considering geological time, and especially in the XX century, in which we have transformed nature in an equivalent way to what humanity has done in all history, makes necessary to become aware of the mistaken procedure in the civilization development to set off on a different way from now on, taking into consideration the important percentages that the building sector produces, in which buildings are responsible for the 40% of energy use globally, use 40% of raw materials and produce 50% of the total generated waste. The answer to the problem is then a conscious architecture, a principles architecture, which assures the future of the next generations. Given this situation, the present work proposes a residential building in the city if Cuenca through a responsible practice, in harmony with nature and context, that satisfies the basic comfort necessities of people, emphasizing efficiency and savings, suggesting the use of renewable energies and trying to encourage inter-personal relationships in a micro – society.
