| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Fractured instruments within the root canals complicate the execution of endodontic treatment, thus affecting the prognosis of the dental organ. Objective: Compare the degree of apical microleakage in root canals with the presence and absence of fractured instruments filled with different bioceramic cements. Materials and methods: An in vitro experimental study was carried out, using 72 bovine teeth sectioned at 18 mm in length. The samples were instrumented with the Reciproc® blue system, then they were randomly divided into 4 groups (n= 18), group 1= teeth with file and filled with AH Plus® Bioceramic Sealer (AHPB), group 2= teeth with file and filled with BioRootTM Flow (BRF), group 3= teeth filled with AHPB and group 4= teeth filled with BRF. They were then sealed coronally and sometimes at 100% humidity and 37°C in an incubator for 48 hours. Apical microleakage was measured by dye penetration and stereomicroscope. Result: It was shown that groups 1 and 3 filled with AHPB had a significantly better sealing capacity (p>0.05) than groups 2 and 4 filled with BRF, it was also shown that there were no differences between groups 1 and 3 significant (p>0.05) the same between groups 2 and 4. Conclusions: The AHPB sealing cement has a lower degree of apical microleakage compared to BRF, in addition it was demonstrated that the presence or absence of a fractured file inside the The root canal does not influence the degree of microleakage. | en_US |
