| en_US |

RESULTS: During the period 2019 - 2020 a total of 1 530 blood cultures were recorded, cases of bacteremia represent 7.12 %, ICU was the area with the highest number of cases with 54.13 %, being the male gender more susceptible to contracting the infection with 57.79 % and the age group most affected was 61 - 75 years. The most frequent comorbidity was pneumonia with 54.13 %, obtaining Klebsiella pneumoniae as the main microorganism isolated with 21.10 % in peripheral blood cultures. | en_US |
