These differences were not statistically significant (p> 0.05). Females were more prevalent in the experimental group, represented 52.9%. In the group of patients with treatment adherence was found 35.7% in the experimental group and 64.3% in the control group. Seeing the scale of assessment of self-care agency we found that 100% of the population is placed between 2 options: Low self-care agency and very low self-care agency, the first was more prevalent in the experimental group and the second in the control group with 66.7% and 59.2% respectively. 100% of participants in the study had combination therapies for treatment of hypertension.- Conclusions: The educational program increases the probability of better adherence in 1.75 times compared with the control group, also increases perception of self-care in hypertensive patients.AU | es_ES |
